Guess I learned how to mind read just a bit. This is about Center Line, Michigan, ya? Here are the reasons I reverted your edits on that article:

None of it was referenced to anything. Even if it had been, it still was not appropriate content for an encyclopedia.
Altho the death of a local official may be a big story in a small town in Michigan, it doesn't mean squat to the rest of the world. We write articles on places here to serve a worldwide audience, not the residents of the place the article covers.
We write here with a long view. If the information is going to change again in a month, which you stated in your edit, there is no need to change it now. As a matter of policy, we are not supposed to list interim officeholders.
Finally, related to both two and three, Wikipedia is not a newspaper.
