Nope, I'm not saying that. I'm saying you should read the page on reliable sources, and maybe some of the other pages in the welcome message you were left. This is an encyclopedia, so we use sources. Just because anyone can edit doesn't mean anyone can write whatever they want. Don't worry tho - it always takes time for new people to understand what we do here. for clarification, because you all seem to have something against me, i won't be editing the artist section anymore. i can completely understand how it could be misconstrued as bias, and i will offer up my own site to promote other artists in the genre without prejudice. i wasn't deleting people because i had anything against them. bottom line - i won't be making edits anymore to the artists on the page. I posted another update on the AfD page for High-C, but here's the gist of it: From all appearances, Imbalance Records appears to be a small DIY label, falling below the criteria specified in WP:MUSIC. Not sure why you've been so hostile - you seem to think I have something against music. This isn't true at all; I'm an independant musician myself. However, I'm also a firm believer in verifiability, and there's none in your article.

We strongly discourage people from making vanity articles about themselves for exactly that reason. If you're an important musician, show us your coverage in important music media. You don't need to be on the cover of Rolling Stone to pass WP:MUSIC, but you've got to be verifiable to be in the encyclopedia. Don't take it personally - for all I know your music is the greatest in the world. It's not about judging the music, it's about judging what should or shouldn't be included in an encyclopedia. The article was entirely re-written, with the help of other, more experienced Wikipedians. Citations were provided. Instead, the goalposts are now moved. "That label isn't big enough to count." But the bottom line, Friday, I that I was writing, recording and performing very geeky raps since 1995. My lineage is well-documented in the hip-hop newsgroups. You're doing the same thing to other nerdcore artists, even though they too have qualifying criteria. What, exactly, do you want "verified"? Basically, what you're saying is that unless I have two releases on a big indy label, I'll never be in Wikipedia? I'm know around the world under various personae. Who are you, again, other than some editor with a hardon for policing the nerdcore page, the very epitome of which lies with self-recorded and self-released music? If you're not interested in understanding what we do here, I suggest you move on. More specifically, if there's an established pattern of personal attacks, it's the last thing that happens right before you get a "you've been temporarily blocked, have a nice day" message from an admin. High-C article

Background

High-C was one of the first nerdcore hip-hop artists, and now is one-half of the duo Meter versus Yard. He released his first track "Godzilla" in 1995. Recorded on an Amiga 500, the track was too avant-garde for producer Chris Clay of Digitrax Studios.

Technology figures prominently into his lyrical themes, as well as literary allusions and serial killers.

In addition to his releases on Imbalance, he has collaborated with Australia's The Fucking Pigs, TINC Project and guitarist Kid Charlemagne. There have also been remixes by Shapethrower and Lode Runner, and Moss_ contributed synthstrings to "Stars In My Pocket Like Grains Of Sand".
