Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited 2018–19 Bolton Wanderers F.C. season, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Hillsborough (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 09:20, 26 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

In the field |report = You only need to enter the URL, there is no need to enter extra code that's redundant now. Cheers. Govvy (talk) 11:56, 18 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Amoateng

[edit]

why do you keep removing amoateng?Muur (talk) 21:48, 19 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

He's been gone for months but for some reason, it's never been officially announced. If he was still around, he'd have been given a pro-contract back in May because he's over 18 but he wasn't. He hasn't been seen on an academy team sheet since last year and there's been no sign of him around the facilities by all accounts I've talked to. I'm convinced he's gone. I know Bolton have not removed him from their online squad list but they're terrible at updating that.

he was signed as a first year scholar source. efl scholorship rules state you sign a two year contract, which means he signed for two years. source. so as he signed a two year scholarship (because efl rules state he *has* to) it means he was either released by mutual consent or is still around somewhere. the two sources I showed you being he was a first year scholar and that scholarships last two years means the assumptions should be he's still around somewhere. also still being on the first team website. last season, they had mitchell henry listed under first team and they went out of their way to remove him from the first team list back to the U18 list and yet despite doing this and adding all the new players and removing all the old players they kept him on the first team list. only thing really that I could maybe agree with is listing him under first team instead of "youth players with first team appearances" but, there are three sources here which indicate hes still there. scholarships lasting two years (with him 1 year into his) and him still being listed on bolton's site. we have more sources indicating here's there than not, so we just list him there until such instance we know he isnt. the two year scholarship and him signing as a first year one and no announcement hes gone. it would be assuming hes not there without a source. im gonna add him back until we find any source that indicates it, ven marc illes would count if we can get him to look into it. with all the hype he'd've signed somewhere else too by now if he was free, I think, but there's no mention of him being any where else. not even trials or him being linked with a move anywhere. also he honestly might just be injured, searching amoateng injured on twitter does show multiple people talking about how he wasnt playing because he was/is injured. also world football are considered a reliable source by wikipedia and list his contract expiring in 2022 as does the football manager video game and soccerway also list him as part of bolton's squad for 21/22 Muur (talk) 21:04, 20 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Released players

[edit]

In the English system, contracts end on 30 June (so players leave clubs on that date) and begin on 1 July (so players join new clubs on that date). Please wait until those dates before editing. GiantSnowman 18:32, 5 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,

Thank you for your very helpful updates to players statistics in the table at the bottom of their pages.

Could I please ask that you also update the statistics at the top of the page to keep consistency?
