Re:Contributions
[edit]I would be glad to help you in anything you need. Please remember to add sources to everything you write.
I suggest reading the following important policies, WP:V, and WP:OR. Joelito (talk) 15:46, 17 October 2006 (UTC)
Vandalism
[edit]Please do not replace Wikipedia pages with blank content, as you did to Orocobix. Blank pages are harmful to Wikipedia because they have a tendency to confuse readers. If it is a duplicate article, please redirect it to an appropriate existing page. If the page has been vandalised, please revert it to the last legitimate version. If you feel that the content of a page is inappropriate, please edit the page and replace it with appropriate content. If you believe there is no hope for the page, please see the deletion policy for how to proceed. - Caribbean~H.Q. 22:19, 21 August 2007 (UTC)
List of Puerto Ricans
[edit]Perez, how are you? Please do not add the name of "Guanikeyu" to the list. You need to provide a verifiable reliable source (and your website is not considered as such) that can proof without a doubt that Guanikeyu is reknowned internationally as the leader of the Tainos and is not a self-proclaimed so called leader. You are on the verge of breaking Wikipedias 3-revert rule which may require that you be blocked from editing. Look, I more then anybody admire your pride in our Taino ancesters, but we have rules here which must be followed. Tony the Marine (talk) 15:45, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
AfD nomination of Guanikeyu
[edit]An editor has nominated Guanikeyu, an article which you have created or worked on, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").
Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Guanikeyu and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).
You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 15:59, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
- Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles, or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion debates. Otherwise, it may be difficult to create consensus. If you oppose the deletion of an article, please comment at the respective page instead. Thank you. Your edits re: Tainos,"Guanikeyu," Jatibonicu, etc.
[edit]Japerez, I have been consistently requesting that you provide reputable sources for your various fantastic and far-fetched claims regarding your assertions about your heritage group, the "Jatibonicu" and their leader, Pedro "Guanikeyu" Torres. Wikipedia is resource. People actually rely on the stuff we write and add, so our edits, when they make claims, have to cite reputable, neutral sources. You cannot continue to make myriad claims about your group, then cite to your group's webpage to back those claims up. This is akin to saying the Bible is the word of God, and then citing a Bible verse to back it up. It just doesn't work, and is not acceptable on Wikipedia. Your group does not have any sources to back its claims, so I (and a couple of others, but I'm a bit more persistent) will continue to delete your uncited claims. If you have a source that conforms to WP standards, I will certainly enjoy reading it and encourage you to use it. Thanks,--Noopinonada (talk) 13:58, 14 August 2010 (UTC)
Please ask me what type of exact documentation on Chief Guanikeyu Torres, that you need to provide to you to prove who he is a Taino historical American Indian political figure? Please tell me and I will gladly happy to provide you with all the needed documentss that you request?
Taino people edits and the "Jatibonicu"
[edit]Japerez, per your message at my talk page [1], please see our policies WP:CITE, WP:VERIFY, and WP:RELIABLE, (if you click on the bluelinks it will take you to the policy pages), this should explain to you how to add citations and what sources are reliable for use here. You might also look at our policies on notability WP:GNG, just because an organization exists does not mean it passes our requirements for inclusion. And also WP:Conflict of interest and WP:What Wikipedia is not, just to be on the safe side with your edits. Hope this explains everything and Good luck and cheers, Heiro 02:35, 1 February 2013 (UTC)
- Per your recent edit to Taino people, we have went over this before above. Please dont insert this again without reliable citations. Heiro 16:19, 19 March 2013 (UTC)
File:Guanin of Chief Orocobix.jpg listed for deletion
[edit]A file that you uploaded or altered, File:Guanin of Chief Orocobix.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Files for deletion. Please see the discussion to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you.
