Player images

[edit]

While you seem to have good intentions behind the changes that you've been making to the images of baseball players, there are some guidelines that need to be followed with those. If a player is still active, the image in their infobox should be an image of them with their current team, if there is such an image here on Wikipedia. If it's a retired player, the image in their infobox should usually be an image of them with the team they spent the majority of their career with, unless there's a different image of them that is much higher quality. Also, you should always make sure that the image you're putting in the infobox isn't already somewhere else in the player's article, because there's no point in having the same image twice in the same article. If you have any more questions about this, please feel free to ask me. --Zander251 (talk) 03:15, 16 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Zander251, there is no such guideline. The image in an infobox should be the best image that we have available, regardless of what team he's been playing for. – Muboshgu (talk) 19:44, 16 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
That said, please don't edit war with other editors about the images. Discuss images on the Talk pages. – Muboshgu (talk) 19:45, 16 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm LauritzT. I noticed that you recently removed content from The Super Mario Bros. Super Show! without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page.
