About your page

[edit]

Hi there. I noticed you seemed confused as to why your page has been marked for deletion. The person who marked it did so under criterion A7 of the speedy deletion policy, which is for articles that don't credibly indicate why their subjects are notable enough to warrant an article. I wouldn't go as far as to say your page is a clear-cut A7, but it definitely looks like it is written solely to promote the church, which is also a valid reason for the page to be deleted. Specifically, the writing seems focused more on selling the benefits of this church to potential members, and looks more or less like what I would expect to find in a promotional brochure about the church than an encyclopedia article.

If you need help writing your article, there are lots of resources here at Wikipedia that you might find useful. You can go to Articles for Creation, where you can use the Article Wizard to learn more about creating your article before submitting it as a draft. When you're ready, an experienced editor can review the draft for you and help you improve it before it becomes an article. If you have questions about Wikipedia, you can ask them at the Teahouse, a friendly forum for new editors to learn more about the encyclopedia. You can also leave me a message on my talk page directly, or just reply to this message here. dalahäst (let's talk!) 22:17, 28 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, thanks for message. The article was in fact deleted by Tokyogirl79, see the comments here. Note that you should not remove deletion tags yourself, leave it to an admin to decide. I tagged your article for deletion because

  • it did not provide independent verifiable sources to enable us to verify the facts and show that it meets the notability guidelines. You had no independent references, no facts to support notability, such as church membership and attendances, and the church is of very recent creation.
  • it was written in a promotional tone. Articles must be neutral and encyclopaedic. Yours was simply a soapbox for your church's views. Examples of unsourced claims presented as fact include: ... to show love and compassion... to express comfort and understanding... offers a vital service... in a loving, caring, and non-judgmental manner and is truly a church for the disenfranchised and marginalized... an authentic "Protestant" Lutheran church body.
  • You have an obvious conflict of interest when it comes to editing articles about this subject. Thank you for declaring your interest. If, after reading the information about notability linked above, you still believe that your organisation is notable enough for a Wikipedia article (and that there is significant coverage in reliable, independent secondary sources), you could, if you wish, post a request at Wikipedia:Requested articles for the article to be created. See also Wikipedia:Best practices for editors with conflicts of interest.

Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at Charles L. Sullivan, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Magnolia677 (talk) 10:00, 15 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, I understand. I grew up in Mississippi and know my Mississippi political history quite well. However, I will resubmit my changes and include a reference: "William Winter and the New Mississippi," by Charles Bolton, 2013. Thank you and I hope I haven't violated any "talk page" guidelines here. If I have, please accept my apologies. James Walter Clifton (talk) 15:52, 15 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for uploading File:General Lutheran Church emblem.png. However, it is currently missing information on its copyright and licensing status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can verify that it has an acceptable license status and a verifiable source. Please add this information by editing the image description page. You may refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation.

ATTENTION: This is an automated, bot-generated message. This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 03:00, 10 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Addison Election

[edit]

Put it on the Libertarian Party of Michigan page rather than the national LP page. There isn't room on the Libertarian Party (United States) page for a state by state discussion of local election victories. I'm sure someone will come along and delete the reference from the national page if you don't move it yourself, but it is relevant to the Michigan LP and it shouldn't entirely disappear from wikipedia. AJPEG (talk) 05:41, 14 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, thank you. I will

And unless you have a better source than a Libertarian party website, don't put it anywhere. Also, we are not interested in your interpretation of what is historic. Your edit at Addison, Michigan is wholly unacceptable. John from Idegon (talk) 23:11, 31 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi James! I'm afraid I've removed your addition of your name to the List of libertarians in the United States. This is because the list is not intended to be a comprehensive list of every American libertarian ever – that would obviously be an absurdly long list. Instead, it's a list of people who are the subject of Wikipedia articles because they meet Wikipedia's notability criteria (plus a small number of elected officials who meet the relevant notability criteria but don't have an article yet). I hope this clarifies things.

On a related note, I saw that you also added information about yourself to the Libertarian Party of Michigan article a while back, so I just wanted to make sure you're aware of Wikipedia's conflict of interest guideline. If you haven't seen the guideline you ought to take a look, but the gist is that we discourage people to add information about themselves (or their family, friends, clients, employers, etc.) to the encyclopaedia. If you feel that such information ought to be added, it's suggested that you propose the addition on the article talk page (so e.g. Talk:List of libertarians in the United States or Talk:Libertarian Party of Michigan) rather than adding it to the article yourself. Let me know here or at my talk page if you have any questions about any of this. – Arms & Hearts (talk) 23:18, 31 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

IMAGE ON ASSOCIATION OF INDEPENDENT EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN CHURCHES PAGE

[edit]

Greetings,

I see that the image (our logo) was removed. May I know the reason?

I own the Association's URLS which I can prove.

If you look at our webpage and click on "Credentials of the Presiding Bishop," you will see an official ordination certificate with the Association's logo.

Actually, here is the link certificate.

Thank you for your time.
