Composting IVC Articles

[edit]

Hello Jacobdog. I completely agree with you regarding the comments on the merits of the IVC article. My intial work on wikipedia was to help restructure the waste management sections. This included composting and compost - two articles which were combined. They also did not branch out well into different composting systems. There are two types of IVC-type system you mention - the first a verticle composting unit and the second a tunnel type composting unit. Personally I would consider both of these to be 'in-vessel' as opposed to a heap system such as compost windrows. As with everything in wikipedia the articles need reworking. I have concentrated on my personal area of interest - anaerobic digestion - an article I have largely rewritten and developed into 'good article' class. If you have the time and inclination you can do the same for the composting articles. The Composting Association may have an interest to expand them but I would be surprised as I don't find much buy in on wikipedia from professional organisations.

Hi David, I know the feeling, not enough time at the moment, seems like an eternity since Christmas!--Alex Marshall (talk) 08:44, 19 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
