[edit] When adding links to material on an external site, as you did to Yuria 100 Shiki, please ensure that the external site is not violating the creator's copyright. Linking to websites that display copyrighted works is acceptable as long as the website's operator has created or licensed the work. Knowingly directing others to a site that violates copyright may be considered contributory infringement. This is particularly relevant when linking to sites such as YouTube, where due care should be taken to avoid linking to material that violates its creator's copyright. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If you believe the linked site is not violating copyright with respect to the material, then you should do one of the following:
- If the linked site is the copyright holder, leave a message explaining the details on the article Talk page;
- If a note on the linked site credibly claims permission to host the material, or a note on the copyright holder's site grants such permission, leave a note on the article Talk page with a link to where we can find that note;
- If you are the copyright holder or the external site administrator, adjust the linked site to indicate permission as above and leave a note on the article Talk page;
If the material is available on a different site that satisfies one of the above conditions, link to that site instead. -- Collectonian (talk · contribs) 14:37, 20 December 2008 (UTC)
AfD nomination of Yuria 100 Shiki
[edit]I have nominated Yuria 100 Shiki, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Yuria 100 Shiki. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. -- Collectonian (talk · contribs) 03:03, 9 February 2009 (UTC)
Answer to Afd discussion
[edit]Hi,
I want to explain more about the inner working of WP:Anime.
We use WP:BK for Manga notability.
BK1 : Manga with 2 RS reviews or evidences of Notability are sure KEEP that include non-English RS.
BK2 : Übel Blatt not licensed in English but got prize in France.
BK3 : Manga adapted in anime series(not OVA) and/or Drama. This is the case for Koi Kaze regardless the absence of non-Japanese edition of the manga.
For remaining manga we try to drag them to BK1, BK2 or BK3 case, withing our capability to avoid delation but we won't succeed every time :( Lacking someone skilled in Japanese hurt our effort much.
Anime series with national broadcast(not OVA) in Japan are all de-facto notable if they pass verifiability, no need of RS third party reference nor RS review. User:Norse Am Legend was evil enough to fool people about the notability of Strike Witches. Had it went to Afd it would been snow balled keep quickly.
OVAs related to a notable Manga or anime series are Keep, the other OVA to prove notability similar to BK1.
Scanlation can't be used as evidence of notability but it can be used to assess if a manga is popular among fandom. Manga with no new scanlated chapter for the last year are Fail.
I hope, i have convinced you a bit that we aren't a bunch of frenzy delationists. --KrebMarkt 11:37, 14 February 2009 (UTC)
