Information icon Hello, I'm Hako9. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person on Cyriac Abby Philips, but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now. Wikipedia has a very strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate and clear. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! — hako9 (talk) 11:22, 9 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hi Jack.bobo.786! I noticed that you are repeatedly marking edits as minor at Cyriac Abby Philips that change the meaning of the sentences you are editing. "Minor edit" has a specific definition on Wikipedia—it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Thank you. -- Toddy1 (talk) 07:24, 10 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Warning icon Please stop marking your edits to the article on Cyriac Abby Philips as "minor edits". Your edits change the meaning of the article and are therefore not minor edits. You have been told about this before, both in edit summaries, and on your talk page, and on the article talk page.-- Toddy1 (talk) 11:24, 10 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Cyriac Abby Philips. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. -- Toddy1 (talk) 11:24, 10 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Rather than reverting repeatedly, discuss the matter with others; if a revert is necessary, another editor may conclude the same and do it (without prompting), which would then demonstrate consensus for the action WP:AVOIDEDITWAR. You'll be reported if you don't stop. — hako9 (talk) 19:20, 11 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon with clock
You have been blocked from editing for a period of 1 week for edit warring, as you did at Cyriac Abby Philips. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please review Wikipedia's guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Bbb23 (talk) 12:27, 12 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
