A tag has been placed on Metro fuel oil corp, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing no content to the reader. Please note that external links, "See also" section, book reference, category tag, template tag, interwiki link, rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article don't count as content. Moreover, please add more verifiable sources, not only 3rd party sources. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content. You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the page and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Your recent article

[edit]

Your new article, while it may be about a notable subject, reads like an advertisement. Please see this, this, and this and consider a rewrite of the article. Thanks, Tyrol5 [Talk] 20:37, 31 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

If you read through the article carefully and with a critical eye, you will see what I mean. Ex: "GreenheatTM, METRO’s custom blended bioheat, which helps home heating systems run cleaner and more efficiently" sounds like an ad. By doing this and reading through the policies I've linked for you above, the article can be drastically improved. Tyrol5 [Talk] 20:52, 31 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Consider rewriting the phrase to be more neutral (i.e. METRO has developed a custom blended bioheat with the objective of helping home heating systems run more efficiently.). Feel free to use my wording. I would not recommend you quote the website outright, as the companies own website will more than likely be written with the purpose of promoting the company. Tyrol5 [Talk] 20:58, 31 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
You're quite welcome. If you have further questions, don't hesitate to ask! Tyrol5 [Talk] 21:12, 31 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Tom torre, teri slater, jessica lappin, michael auerbach.JPG requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. ttonyb (talk) 22:08, 31 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Nomination of APTelecom for deletion

[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article APTelecom is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/APTelecom until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. Agtx (talk) 06:26, 13 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you, Agtx for the input/advice. I will look to update. Instead of the press releases, if I use articles that came from the press release, would that work? Also, once I make the changes should I notify you in hopes we can remove the 'nomination for deletion' banner?Jabrams5 (talk) 02:34, 14 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Unused logo with no article used, it's also can't move to commons because of an unused logo will be deleted as of out of project scope.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.
