That's not a good reason. Tell me why can't the central people involved in the series be included in a relevant navbox? It's not like i'm adding the complete list of actors. RAP (talk) 20:21 3 December 2011 (UTC)

Well, is there anything against adding the names of the creators of the series? Like Dan O'Bannon with Alien and The Thomas Brothers (?)with Predator? RAP (talk) 20:31 3 December 2011 (UTC)
Actually that's why I pointed you to the templates talk page. You added a laundry list of names, some of which might be seen as exceptions to the general guides.

Template:Marvel Animated Universe

I just closed this discussion. It would be great if you could take care of the merger. Let me know if there are any problems, or if you can't do it. Thanks! Plastikspork ―Œ(talk) 18:49, 5 December 2011 (UTC)

Should be done now... - J Greb (talk) 03:31, 6 December 2011 (UTC)

I have gotten your note and I have added the info there so that people would know the named henchmen of Joker, Catwoman, and Penguin just like the henchmen sections seen in the pages for Riddler, Black Mask, Maxie Zeus, and Ventriloquist & Scarface. Harley Quinn was a notable henchwoman of Joker and it was mentioned that there was an Earth-Two version of Lion-Mane that was a former henchman of Catwoman. As for T.O. Morrow, his involvement in DC Universe Online was just expanded so people would know what else he did besides collaborating with Joker on making a new version of the Joker Venom. When it came to Luke Cage's page, anonymous contributors have been doing reversions when I add his Rogues Gallery section (especially since most of his enemies don't have Wikipedia pages here yet). Rtkat3 (talk) 7:51, December 6 2011 (UTC)

Bluntly? Thanks for pointing out the other henchmen sections that should go.
Beyond that:
  • Harley Quinn is a specific notable case. That character does not justify presenting a laundry list of one-off or non-notable henchmen.
  • The Lion-Mane instance is also trivial, both on the Lion-Mane article and more so on Catwoman. And even if the one mention is made, it doesn't justify, again, a laundry list of one-off or non-notable henchmen.
  • I'll point you to WP:PLOT again. Wikipedia articles are not the place to lay out all the plot points or details. Give it a concise overview and move on. That other articles are bloated does not justify compounding the problem by doing it on another.
  • Most of those character don't warrant their own Wikipedia articles on notability grounds. And that list verges on OR.

Chemo

Hey, J. After seeing the edits, I left him a polite note and I'll keep an eye open. --Tenebrae (talk) 00:31, 7 December 2011 (UTC)

To be honest it's 1) the tone, 2) some of the edit summary phrases, 3) areas of interest, and 4) the stilted appearance list they added to Chemo that has me wondering if this is a return. - J Greb (talk) 00:45, 7 December 2011 (UTC)
Alright, I put that article on my watchlist.
But if you don't mind my asking, what did you mean by a "return"? And what Arbs were you referring to, and how are they connected? (Just like to be informed.) Nightscream (talk) 00:53, 7 December 2011 (UTC)
Asgardian - the tone, at least to me, is his across the edit summary and the stilted include-em-all appearance list in the PH. I'm concerned I'm being a little paranoid.
- J Greb (talk) 00:59, 7 December 2011 (UTC)

Good call, looks like the account is now indef-blocked due to checkuser. He hasn't been editing any of the articles I normally keep an eye on, so I had yet to notice this new account. BOZ (talk) 04:11, 7 December 2011 (UTC)

I would say that while there are similarities (Asgardian did once refer to poor writing as vandalism), the comments are rather generic, as is the attitude expressed in those edit summaries, so I wouldn't jump to conclusions. In general, people like Asgardian are not unique, and I would wait until we saw more from PHE to form a better basis of comparison. But at the same time, it's reassuring to see that someone else is being circumspect with respect to Asgardian.

Btw, can you explain how the red link appears at the top of the Barbarella (comics) article? I can't figure it out. Clicking on it or hovering over it indicates that it's the phrase "Comics characters" that's linked, but I can't find that phrase or the link anywhere in the article in edit mode. (Cue X-Files music.) Any ideas? Nightscream (talk) 13:05, 7 December 2011 (UTC)

RE: PHE - mooted since one the Arbs I approached managed a CU.
As for Barbarella - typo in the code to get to the "Comics character" category. When the move was done, the editor remove "Category:".

Hey, I'm eagerly awaiting your thoughts on my current proposal. --ProfessorKilroy (talk) 05:50, 9 December 2011 (UTC)

Well, what with the revamp of the Films template and the animated template, I think it's time to take a look at Template:Marvel Comics TV. Also, if we have an animated template, why not have a Template:Marvel Comics live-action productions --ProfessorKilroy (talk) 11:50, 12 December 2011 (UTC)
Yeah? --ProfessorKilroy (talk) 13:06, 13 December 2011 (UTC)
Sorry... other things got in the way.
Right now, working on getting the TV template in order should be possible.

Requesting help re: incivility...

...since I'm afraid I've found that the Noticeboard for this doesn't really seem to do much good, in my experience.

There's an anon IP, 76.201.154.20, at Talk:All-American Muslim with whom I'm disagreeing over what appear to be POV edits. But that issue and his edit-warring, WP:OWN-like behavior, I'm addressing on my own as best I can.

What I can't seem to do is get this person to stop being personally insulting. He uses patronizing, childish name-calling ("sweetheart", "honey"), tells me my comments are worth "bugger all", which is an extremely insulting, sexual vulgarism, and counters my attempts at rational discussion with macho bullshit like "Bring it on."

I've asked him several times to speak civilly. He refuses, and tries to dissuade me from asking for admin help as "Running to mommy," in an apparent attempt at wounding my pride. I really have tried to be polite and to ask him nicely, but that clearly doesn't work, and I don't think he should be able to simply keep insulting another editor. Any help you can give, I'd appreciate it very much. With thanks, Tenebrae (talk) 21:46, 15 December 2011 (UTC)

Bart Allen

I'll keep what you said under the advisement. Also, on Flashpoint (comics), I've created a subpage List of Flashpoint (comics) characters due to the list of characters are too long. You are welcome to check them out to see if they are appropriate.--NeoBatfreak (talk) 03:29, 16 December 2011 (UTC)

Non-free use disputed for File:Street_fighter_comic_zero.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:Street_fighter_comic_zero.jpg. Unfortunately, I think that you have not provided a proper rationale for using this image under "fair use". Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page. Note that the image description page must include the exact name or a link to each article the image is used in and a separate rationale for each one. (If a link is used, automated processes may improperly add the related tag to the image. Please change the fair use template to refer to the exact name, if you see this warning.)

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted after seven days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. Thank you. Melesse (talk) 22:08, 17 December 2011 (UTC)

File:Street_fighter_comic_zero.jpg

I have tagged File:Street_fighter_comic_zero.jpg as a disputed use of non-free media, because there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please clarify your fair use rationale on the image description page. Thank you. Melesse (talk) 23:46, 17 December 2011 (UTC)

Misspelling at a template

Hi, J. War comics and Western comics, and possibly others, have a misspelling in the template at Template:Infobox comics genre. I went in to try to correct it, but was unable to figure out how. In the subgenre section, "broken down" is misspelled as "brokendown". Maybe you know how to do it? With thanks, Tenebrae (talk) 21:24, 18 December 2011 (UTC)

Fixed. Also fixed a grammatical error - "This" instead of "These". - J Greb (talk) 21:45, 18 December 2011 (UTC)

Batman Begins

Gary Oldman has been listed in the top billing on this article since 2005. On December 21, an IP chaned his name to Sirius Black as vandalism, then another removed it entirely. I correctly restored Gary Oldman to the lede, but you seem intent on removing it. 2.219.215.235 (talk) 23:26, 27 December 2011 (UTC)

Frankly, I was looking for an actual explanation having seen more than enough cases of IP mutely editing cast lists to their on taste. Thanks for finally providing such an explanation in you edit summary. - J Greb (talk) 00:38, 28 December 2011 (UTC)

Earth-Two

Thanks for setting me straight vis a vis Crimson Avenger. I honestly had never seen his single issue appearance in World's Finest. In regards to Johnny Quick, for Clarity's sake I adjusted the description under the "Earth-two characters" heading to reflect that not all the counterparts in question were on Earth-One, and moved the explanatory note for JQ into the character's listing. I also added Commander Steel who falls into both categories as someone who immigrated from one earth to another and who had an Earth-one counterpart in his own grandson Steel (as well as Citizen Steel in the post crisis earth). On another topic, do you know how to fix (and move) those orphaned category links at the top of the page? Shoeless Ho (talk) 18:21, 29 December 2011 (UTC)

Yes... "sortkey" needed to be defined. Though it looks like some tinkering with the templated is needed. - J Greb (talk) 19:05, 29 December 2011 (UTC)
