Mentha sachalinensis
[edit]I don't think that there should be an article at Mentha sachalinensis, because the overwhelming majority of recent sources don't accept it. However, while it's there, the distribution should be as per the source.
- The Flora of China says "Heilongjiang, Jilin, Liaoning, Nei Mongol [Japan, Russia]." The first four are regions of China.
- The World Spice Plants says "E. Russia: Sakhalin Island, Norway".

The World Spice Plants mentions Mentha Haplocalyx to be native to E,S, & SE Asia. JTanuki18 (talk) 04:30, 18 April 2019 (UTC)
- But what source says that Mentha haplocalyx is a synonym of Mentha sachalinensis? FoC says that the synonym is "Mentha arvensis Linnaeus subsp. haplocalyx Briquet var. sachalinensis Briquet ex Miyabe & Miyake" (which is actually not allowed as name in the ICNafp – there can only be three parts in a name, so the name is actually "Mentha arvensis Linnaeus var. sachalinensis Briquet ex Miyabe & Miyake"). The *whole* of M. haplocalyx = M. arvensis subsp. haplocalyx is not the same taxon as M. sachalinensis, which is only the var. sachalinensis of this subspecies, if you use this name.
- And if you use a more up-to-date source for the synonyms of M. sachalinensis, it turns out that it is no longer accepted, but is sunk into M. canadensis.Peter coxhead (talk) 17:23, 18 April 2019 (UTC)

[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Patchouli, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Malaya. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

[edit]Hello, I'm Waxworker. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Frankenstein in popular culture, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. see MOS:POPCULT Waxworker (talk) 15:50, 17 May 2024 (UTC)
