JMthe2nd To get to the bottom of this: As I understand the rules of the site to be, you cant just remove something simply because you don't agree with it. If something you know for a fact isn't true, then find and list substantial evidence from reliable sources that prove otherwise. This page is of a public figure on an open encyclopedic website that anyone can edit. The John Moschitta Jr. page belongs to everyone that uses this site. If you dispute the Steve Woodmore record, then please feel free to make the changes with sources listed. The same applies to the Sean Shannon record you mention. Calling Steve Woodmore a liar is not productive, and neither is removing links from the page . Especially given your reason: you don't agree. You may or not be John Moschitta Jr.(imagine everyone just removing things because they don't agree with it, claiming to be the featured person), but that doesn't really matter. I'm basing this on Steve Woodmore and Fran Capo, 2 other articles on this site that are in good standing order and deserve to be mentioned as links on the JM2 page as they fall into the same category...Tachylalia. With regards to Steve holding the record, again, I base it on the Steve Woodmore page. Below is a copy of an email I sent to Spencer. I do not know who you are or why you keep editing my page but please stop it immediately. Spencer ....This is John Moschitta Jr. I am NOT vandalizing my page....I am correcting it. I do not know who user Robvanvee is or why they keep changing my page. The edits I have been making are corrections to erroneous information that has been added to my page. The sentence I repeatedly have removed is: "His record was later broken by the current record-holder, Steve Woodmore, who speaks 637 wpm." The record referred to was achieved under shady circumstances and was never recognized by the US version of the book due to the unethical manner in which it was done. All that is a mute point because another gentleman, Sean Shannon has held the record since August 30,1995 when he spoke at a rate of 655 words per minute. Here is the link to the official Guinness site for his record: http://www.guinnessworldrecords.com/world-records/1/fastest-talker . I vet my page for accurate information and remove incorrect statements. If Steve Woodmore would like to lie on his page....as he does at : http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Steve_Woodmore that is his business but I do not want to be associated with him in any manner on my page. In addition someone, I am assuming it's Robvanee, keeps adding both Steve Woodmore and Fran Capo in the "see also" section. Ms. Capo has been discredited and I do not want any association with her either. I do not see any reason to direct people to pages that contain false information. Please let me know what I need to do to rectify this problem. I am pretty much a technical idiot and would appreciate it if you contacted me directly by email at JMthe2nd@aol.com ... I am not even sure that I have done this message correctly and I really want to get to the bottom of this problem and make it stop. Thank you ....John

In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button or located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. Administrative intervention
[edit]JMthe2nd, my name is Qwyrxian, and I'm an admin here at Wikipedia. Another editor just requested that you be blocked from editing, and I declined that block, but it was a very close call. The reason I declined it was because at least part of your edits seemed to be correct, in that you were removing unsourced information. That's good. However, you do need to understand that you can only add information if that information is verified by reliable sources. The fact that you claim to be the person in question (and even if you prove you are) does not change the rules—information must be verified. I know that you mentioned above that you see other pages with unverified information, but that is actually a reason to fix those other pages, not bring down the quality of the John Moschitta, Jr. page.
To be fully frank, as a general rule, we strongly recommend that people do not edit articles with which they have a conflict of interest. This definitely applies to articles about yourself. The problem is that it is extraordinarily difficult to judge things like neutrality or what is overly promotional when you're too close to the subject. In our experience, people who edit their own biographies almost always end up violating numerous rules, and then often get blocked as a result. That's what happened here--other editors think you've crossed that line already. I think you were just barely on this side. As such, what we very strongly recommend is that instead of editing the article directly, if you see something that you think needs to be changed, go to the article's talk page (here, that's Talk:John Moschitta, Jr.) and start a new conversation there. Be sure to provide reliable sources that support your suggestion. For example, right now, there's a bunch of statements that Yworo has marked as needing sources. If sources aren't provided, at some point Yworo or another editor is likely to remove that information entirely. So if you can find sources, that would be very helpful.
Lastly, one thing you mentioned is that you can't see information that Yworo deleted. Actually, in the case of normal editing, you can. Just above every article are a set of three tabs--"Read", "Edit", and "View history". If you click on the "View history" tab, you can look back through all of the changes that were ever made to the article, seeing how it looked at every step in its history. If an article is actually deleted, then the history is only available to admins, but that is not what happened here.
