Restored to draft

[edit]

I've moved The Human Digitome back to Draft:The Human Digitome, because it is not yet ready for publication. The article cites no sources, and appears to be somewhat overly promotional. Please try to correct these issue and then submit the draft for review through the normal AFC process. Also, please restore your declared conflict of interest regarding this topic that you removed from your user page. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 15:44, 23 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Medable Inc., requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. October 2018

[edit]

Hello, JMedable. Thank you for helping to build Wikipedia-- the world's largest free content encyclopedia. I'm sorry, but  Medable Inc. has been deleted as meeting WP:CSD#G11. "This applies to pages that are exclusively promotional and would need to be fundamentally rewritten to conform with Wikipedia:NOTFORPROMOTION." These must be rewritten from scratch from "reliable, third party sources unconnected to the subject." See WP:RS.

Wikipedia:Identifying blatant advertising#Typical signs of blatant advertising contains information about content to avoid. For more information on content that may be perceived as promotional, click User:Dlohcierekim/promo. These are just rough guides. Pages can avoid all those pitfalls and still be glaringly obvious ad copy. Sometimes pages meeting WP:CSD#G11 give the appearance of an editor violating Wikipedia:Conflict of interest or WP:PAID. Please read and heed them if they apply to you. Please read Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations.

Wikipedia is an encyclopedia-- subjects must meet notability guidelines with reliable sources that are unconnected with the subject and providing verifiable information. That generally means someone unconnected with the subject needs to have written a great deal about the subject. Please see Wikipedia:Citing sources . Template:cite has templates you can use in citing your sources. Place the template {{references}} at the bottom of the page, and references cited in the text will appear there.

If you want to try again, please use the Article Wizard or articles for creation to guide you through the creation process. The new user tutorial can help you avoid future problems.

You may find this tool useful: Google custom search Don't feel discouraged. My first attempts at creating articles were deleted too.

There is more information at Wikipedia:Community portal. There is help available at THE TEAHOUSE. Cheers, and happy editing. -- Dlohcierekim (talk) 17:29, 23 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Nomination of Digitome for deletion

[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Digitome is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Digitome until a consensus is reached, and anyone, including you, is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 22:08, 10 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

(@WikiDan61:) Dear (@WikiDan61:), Thank you so much for your review of the Digitome. I would like to address, and learn from, your concerns of the article. To have all of the information in one place, I have posted your response and reasoning for the deletion of this page here: Product of the Medable company that has not been shown to be notable. Citations in the article generally verify facts not related to the actual product (such as facts about why the product was created). External links appear to be exclusively press releases by the Medable company. Note stated COI of article's author.

I would like to address each point. Product of the Medable company that has not been shown to be notable. Thank you for this comment. I included a list of selected and notable awards the Digitome has won since 2017. What type of additional information or awards should I include?

Citations in the article generally verify facts not related to the actual product (such as facts about why the product was created). External links appear to be exclusively press releases by the Medable company. This is good feedback, thank you for highlighting this. The external links are unbiased press releases that were not produced by Medable, but were written about Medable and/or the Digitome based off of a Medable staff's presentations at conferences and/or interviews. I did include a two promotional videos that I am happy to remove if that would be more appropriate.

Note stated COI of article's author. Is there a problem with being connected to the topic? I thought it was required to state this but did not realize this was a negative.

Again, thank you so much for your time and effort in reviewing this article. I look forward to your responses and to better understanding how to make this an acceptable article for Wikipedia.

Kindly, Jena

Hello, Jena. Here are some links to Wikipedia policy and guideline pages that you might find helpful. They define some of the terms of art that Wikipedia editors often use.
The 'Welcome' and 'Teahouse' sections above also contain links that might be helpful. There is a lot to learn (and a lot you can probably ignore) on Wikipedia, so please feel free to disregard my message if you don't find it useful. Also, you are welcome to comment at WP:Articles for deletion/Digitome, but should probably disclose that you are the article's creator. Happy editing, Cnilep (talk) 06:50, 11 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Please use edit requests rather than directly editing article

[edit]

As an editor with a COI, you should not be editing the article Digitome directly. Our preferred procedure is for you to make an edit request on the article's talk page. This is different from creating a draft as a COI editor. A draft must be reviewed before it enters articlespace, so you would be free to edit a draft. — jmcgnh(talk) (contribs) 20:20, 11 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
