Tips
- Don't be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
- It's normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don't worry if you don't understand everything at first—it's fine to edit using common sense.
- If an edit you make is reverted, you can discuss the issue at the article's talk page. Be civil, and don't restore the edit unless there is consensus.
- Always use edit summaries to explain your changes.
- When adding new content to an article, always include a citation to a reliable source.
- If you wish to edit about a subject with which you are affiliated, read our conflict of interest guide and disclose your connection.
- Have fun! Your presence in the Wikipedia community is welcome.

- Thanks! Just curious who you are and how you came to write this...since we've had it on our to do list. I just came from the LOC with tons of info! JMHintonFamilyFdn (talk) 22:52, 29 March 2023 (UTC)
- LOVE what you've done so far. JMHintonFamilyFdn (talk) 22:52, 29 March 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks for the nice words! I came to write this based on the work list User:FloridaArmy/Missing Pieces and through the editor FloridaArmy (talk · contribs), I have no personal connection to the subject. I edit here anonymously, and I have mostly been working off of this ongoing list which is a lot of Southern history and Black American history that is missing from Wikipedia. PigeonChickenFish (talk) 23:34, 29 March 2023 (UTC)
- Yes...a LOT of SC civil rights history missing for sure. THANK YOU AGAIN. JMHintonFamilyFdn (talk) 01:19, 30 March 2023 (UTC)
