Outcome of Peter Schiff's defamation case against Nick McKenzie & others

[edit]

Hello,

In the talk page about Nick McKenzie Talk:Nick McKenzie, you say that Nine and the other respondents lost the defamation case, rather than that they reached a settlement. Do you have evidence for that?

The order from the case states "Judgment be entered for the Applicant against the Respondents in the sum of $550,000." But I have heard that Nine agreed to pay more than was required.

Your thoughts? JimH44 (talk) 07:49, 30 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I apologize for the delay, I didn't review my alerts.
Just because someone offers to pay more than they were ordered to doesn't mean the order is null. The order still exists and the way it came about still matters. JDWalston (talk) 23:24, 10 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
