Members of the royal family receive Coronation and Jubilee medals as long as they are alive during their lifetime to the Coronation or Jubilee. JAMAMBTGE (talk) 02:30, 27 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The following link is in black and white, but it can be clearly seen that HRH is wearing a medal. The ribbon is most likely Queen Elizabeth's Coronation Medal because it has multiple colors and is not a singular color like the Royal Family Order Ribbons. I do apologize if I said that HRH had received King Geroge 6th's coronation medal, but she did receive Queen Elizibith's coronation medal, and as a working member of the royal family she has also received every Jubilee and Coronation medal since. This can be proven by looking at HRH The Duke of Kent, who has received all of the Jubilee and Coronation medals.

That file disproves your theory. It shows her wearing one medal in 1954, which appears to be the 1953 coronation medal. Therefore, your claim that she received the 1937 medal aged 6 months is disproven. If you continue to make things up, you will be blocked. DrKay (talk) 17:13, 28 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you add unsourced or poorly sourced material to Wikipedia. DrKay (talk) 17:00, 11 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

That’s fine, I understand, but I have two questions. First, Does everything need to be sourced, because some things are just known? And If I were able to source the mistake I made, would it be kept up? JAMAMBTGE (talk) 22:54, 15 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
There is guidance at Wikipedia:Verifiability. Typically, very obvious statements are not cited because no-one seriously challenges that material. Anything challenged should only be restored with a source that directly supports the material. DrKay (talk) 16:57, 16 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Please do not add postnominals to the first sentence of articles. See Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Biography#Post-nominals and Wikipedia talk:Manual of Style/Biography/2023 archive#Proposal: Moving post-nominals from lead sentences to article bodies. Information icon Hi JAMAMBTGE! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a specific definition on Wikipedia—it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Thank you. ‑‑Neveselbert (talk · contribs · email) 23:50, 18 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, and I apologize. JAMAMBTGE (talk) 00:34, 19 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Templates

[edit]

We usually delete redundant templates. All but one of the links on {{Mountbatten-Windsor}} are repeated on {{Windsor family}}, so it is a prime candidate for deletion. The purpose of navboxes is to link articles together. If they are already linked through another navbox, there is no need to create another. DrKay (talk) 07:39, 22 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

You clearly understand the rules better then I do. I apologize for any mistakes I have made, and if you spot them, please fix them. JAMAMBTGE (talk) 08:39, 22 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

October 2024

[edit]

Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give Princess Joséphine-Charlotte of Belgium a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases for registered users, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. 'The Hon'

[edit]

I have reverted more than one of your edits that appear to show a lack of understanding of when 'the Hon' is used as a pre-nominal style, at least in British-themed areas. Whereas 'the Rt Hon' is rightly applied to Privy Counsellors and/or peers of the rank of earl, viscount and baron, 'the Hon' is for only the younger sons of peers of the rank of earl, and for all children of peers of the rank of viscount and baron. You seem to be under the assumption that all Members of Parliament not entitled to 'the Rt Hon <first name> <last name>' are, therefore, automatically 'the Hon <first name> <last name>'; however, this is wrong. It is possibly compounded by reference in the House of Commons chamber to 'the Honourable Member for <place>', yet this does not extend to their names, unlike 'the Rt Hon'. ZeroAlpha87 (talk) 20:00, 6 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I was under a different impression, but you are the expert. JAMAMBTGE (talk) 21:59, 6 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Duke of Sussex, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Montecito. Sortable tables

[edit]

Please stop adding "sortable" to tables if you are not going to go through and clean the tables up to sortable standards. Sort keys need to be added, either as {{Sortname}} or {{Sort}}, and columns that should not be sortable (such as portraits, pictures of ribbons, or notes and references columns) need to have class="unsortable" added to them.

Hello, I noticed that you may have recently made edits to Royal Victorian Order while logged out. Please be mindful not to perform controversial edits while logged out, or your account risks being blocked from editing. Please consider reading up on Wikipedia's policy on multiple accounts before editing further. Additionally, making edits while logged out reveals your IP address, which may allow others to determine your location and identity. If this was not your intention, please remember to log in when editing. Thank you. DrKay (talk) 07:06, 4 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, This was not me. While I disagree with the decision to not have any icons on the Royal Victorian Order page, I respect it. I am also currently banned, something I additionally respect. I have looked at the IP address and it is not my location. It was also looked to make sure it was not the IP address I had before creating an Account and it is not. In fact, I live on a completely another side of the world. Also, I looked at the edits made by this account, and while I do think that's how the page should look, I don't like the crown used for the king. Sorry for the confusion. Sourcing

[edit]

Please note that Twitter[1] and Youtube[2] are not generally considered Wikipedia:Reliable sources. They are both listed at Wikipedia:Reliable sources/Perennial sources as sources to be used with caution, and then only in certain circumstances when the uploader/poster is an acknowledged subject-matter expert or an official account. DrKay (talk) 07:46, 1 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Whenever I source Youtube or Twiter, it is either from an official and/or reliable source and is usually linked to a specific time so that only that screenshot is considered a source. JAMAMBTGE (talk) 08:53, 1 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
No. It is obvious that sources such as this[3] are neither official nor reliable sources. You have been warned and blocked multiple times for persistent addition of unsourced or poorly sourced content. If you continue to disrupt wikipedia you will be blocked again, indefinitely. DrKay (talk) 09:22, 1 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I don't wish to sound or be rude, but it's a video, clearly of Lady Hussey wearing the order. I have never cited information that an unreliable source has claimed but a photo, and here I am sourcing a video. Here is another Source: https://64.media.tumblr.com/69fe0ed2699e1df4bb2cb07fbdfbc03a/a66dcb6134569188-9c/s1280x1920/2ca7457495fd4c7026dbfcbb6773ed93f5b2bca1.jpg.
Additionally, each time you revert my edit the page glitches, and I fix it. I don't mean to sound rude, but please check after you make an edit, because it does not always end up looking right. I have fixed the page and added the source. I also want to mention the use of YouTube. I know YouTube is not always a reliable source, but I used the person's official YouTube channel as a source, and then also used links from the CNN YouTube channel that was talking about the first YouTube video.
And regarding being blocked multiple times, I have. Most recently, to my understanding, for formatting something in a way unfavorably to others. I have also been accused of making edits that I did not make. Most recently by you. I have one account. I don't edit on any other account or if not logged into my account. I also saw that you blocked an account that does not even belong, claiming it was also mine. The account 'JAE09' is not mine, and I don't know the owner, I just know that it was blocked, and the accusation was that it was also mine. I have never attempted to add unsourced information.
Lastly; this is about I different edit of mine that you reverted and I wanted to ask you about it instead of writing a long shpiel in the comment. Firstly, Grand Duke George Mikhailovich of Russia considers himself to be a member of the House of Romanoff. That is the house 'Officially' belongs to. Also, the Template: Russian imperial family, I looked back and Grand Duke George's wife and son were not removed because they do not have pages of their own (although I do believe his wife should receive one of her own), and countless other templates have people on it without Wikipedia pages such as Template: Liechtensteiner princely family, Template: Luxembourger grand ducal family, Template: Parmesan royal family, Template: Dutch royal family, Template: Spanish royal family, Template: Swedish royal family, and I am sure there are more. Princess Victoria Romanovna and Prince Alexander Georgievich Romanov are members of the Russian Imperial House, at least Grand Duchess Maria's Branch. JAMAMBTGE (talk) 22:55, 1 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
There's nothing at that tumblr page about any orders. It's just a picture. Besides, Tumblr is a micro-blogging and social networking site, so it is deprecated under Wikipedia:Reliable sources#Self-published sources.
I see nothing wrong with the formatting at Lady Susan Hussey. I'm obviously experienced enough to know about the preview function, so trying to lecture me about it is itself rude.
The article says he claims to be in that house, which is the same as "considers himself to be". There is no official royal house of Russia. Russia is a republic without any state function for members of the former ruling family. That unlinked entries were removed because they do not have articles is extremely clear: "doesn't have his own article", "earlier consensus was to limit to people with articles", "earlier consensus was to limit to people with articles", "the edits in the page history of July 27, 2020 removed unlinked entries, which is why people like Prince Alexis Andreievich Romanov, one of the disputed heads of the family, is not included on the template". "delete unlinked entries". DrKay (talk) 07:40, 2 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The Order of the Aztec Eagle row is all messed up. The country is in the dates section, the date is in the Appointment section, The appointment is under the ribbon section, and the ribbon is in the Post-nominal letters. I have looked at the devices of multiple different people, and it's the same issue. JAMAMBTGE (talk) 22:45, 2 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Fortunately, fixed by someone else[4]. DrKay (talk) 17:37, 3 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
