License tagging for Image:Bremanr.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Bremanr.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 02:06, 17 January 2007 (UTC)
linking user pages to encyclopedia proper
[edit]hi there. wanted to point out that you ve got your user page linked to two pages of the encyclopedia proper (Category:Croatian Canadians and Category:German Canadians), which isn t abiding by Wikipedia guidelines - refer to Wikipedia:User page. CFL
[edit]I note that you reverted my edit of CFL saying that I should not make rash changes without approval. I did not consider the edit to be rash. The Canadian Football League is but one of many uses of the TLA. In order to avoid surprises CFL should be a disambig page that is arrived at upon doing a search for "CFL". Ooops
[edit]Sorry for missing the "Toronto" in the Melissa Smith (singer) infobox. Should have been more careful :) If you ask me the subject is only borderline notable and the article needs a lot of work, but that can be fixed :) -- PageantUpdater • talk | contribs | esperanza 01:49, 9 April 2007 (UTC)
- PS I just discovered that the article overwrote a previous article on a different person by the same name. I have taken action to rectify the situation, and the article is now at Melissa Smith (singer). -- PageantUpdater • talk | contribs | esperanza 02:12, 9 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit]... reverting my edits to List of sports attendance figures as vandalism. Formatting sources using {{cite web}} is not vandalism! Tompw (talk) 22:49, 13 April 2007 (UTC)
- The table is organised by average attendence. If you look at the revision before I made any edits (here), then you'll see the NBA wasn't in the right place, hence why I moved it. The same appleis to the NHL. Please do not accuse me of vandalism for something which is not. Tompw (talk) 23:26, 13 April 2007 (UTC)
Hi! Could you drop by the above talkpage and action the article as requested? It is best to explain sporting terms in a manner that a non-follower will understand. Cheers. LessHeard vanU 20:52, 28 April 2007 (UTC)

Vandalism to Mike Hass
[edit]You have been here long enough to know not to make edits such as the one you made to Mike Hass. I will block you for 24 hours if I see you vandalize again, you have had enough warnings and you should know better by now. VegaDark (talk) 05:05, 20 May 2007 (UTC)
Your edit to Canadian Football League
[edit]If this edit by you (restoring "and failing to excel") is a "universally acknowledged fact", presumably you can provide a citation or two. -- Bdoserror (Talk) 21:51, 29 June 2007 (UTC)
- Just to be clear, I'm with you, I can think of a couple off the top of my head, like Joe Theisman and, um, that steroid-abusing D-lineman from, I think, the Jets. But usual Wikipedia standards require citation of the claims. -- Bdoserror 21:54, 29 June 2007 (UTC)

Archiving talk page
[edit]Hey, I've archived your 2006 entries on your talk page. It's not the usual method but, in my opinion, it work better. If you don't like it, you should, of course, go ahead and revert. Just thought you might. DoubleBlue (Talk) 12:24, 30 June 2007 (UTC)
BC Place stadium
[edit]I should have said this a while ago back, but the lions draw 24 000 per game which isn't even half of what the stadium holds. (Talk)
Well now they are getting attention but never really did draw great numbers.(Talk)

Fair use rationale for Image:Renderings soccer.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Renderings soccer.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. The Evil Spartan (talk) 01:43, 30 November 2007 (UTC)

IFD
[edit]At IFD, you said of the image you uploaded Image:WilliamsMain.jpg, "I assure you, I took this picture after the game when the Argos allow fans onto the field. The promotion is called "see You On the Field" and fans are allowed to interact with the players." This statement is clearly false as it came from http://www.torontolife.com/features/q-amp-ricky-williams/. False claims like this are harmful to Wikipedia - if you continue to upload copyrighted images, you will be blocked. --B (talk) 14:39, 11 December 2007 (UTC)
Unreferenced BLPs
[edit]Hello J3wishVulcan! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 2 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring these articles up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 3 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:
- Jeff Yorga - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL
- Jason Gavadza - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL

[edit]The Arbitration Committee has permitted administrators to impose discretionary sanctions (information on which is at Wikipedia:Arbitration Committee/Discretionary sanctions) on any editor who is active on pages broadly related to the September 11, 2001 attacks. Discretionary sanctions can be used against an editor who repeatedly or seriously fails to adhere to the purpose of Wikipedia, satisfy any standard of behavior, or follow any normal editorial process. If you continue to misconduct yourself on pages relating to this topic, you may be placed under sanctions, which can include blocks, a revert limitation, or an article ban. The Committee's full decision can be read at the "Final decision" section of the decision page.
Please familiarise yourself with the information page at Wikipedia:Arbitration Committee/Discretionary sanctions, with the appropriate sections of Wikipedia:Arbitration Committee/Procedures, and with the case decision page before making any further edits to the pages in question. This notice is given by an uninvolved administrator and will be logged on the case decision, pursuant to the conditions of the Arbitration Committee's discretionary sanctions system.

- Third warning on this subject (the first two were blanked, presumably after reading). Acroterion (talk) 19:09, 16 December 2012 (UTC)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
