Sankey diagrams
[edit]Hi there. Really like the Sankey diagrams you have been producing to illustrate preference flows in some Australian electorates (e.g. Cunningham by-election). I'm just wondering what software you use to produce these diagrams? And also if you had a minute, I'd be very grateful if you could let me know if you have any tips for making Sankey diagrams. I'd love to start making them myself. Cheers! E-Class Tram (talk) 04:05, 18 December 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks, they're pretty nifty aren't they? I use Sankeymatic to make them - there is a slight learning curve but it's excellent for free software. No tips other than to use consistent colouring and spacing. If you want to make some for articles that's great, although I would ask that you hold off on making them for the 2022 federal election as I am in the process of making one for every district, and I'd like the style of them to be consistent across all 151 districts & 8 Senate constituencies. If you have any issues with Sankeymatic please contact me here again & I'd be happy to help :) J2m5 (talk) 08:07, 18 December 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks a lot for your assistance! Thanks also for the heads up - originally I was going to try and make a few Sankey diagrams for some electorates contested at the 2022 Australian Federal Election, but sounds like you've got it all covered! Can't wait to see all the diagrams! Best wishes with it! Cheers. E-Class Tram (talk) 09:34, 20 December 2022 (UTC)

- @Glennstapo From now on please make these sorts of comments on the talk page of the article, not in people's personal talk pages. I have already written something there on this topic. Thanks. J2m5 (talk) 13:36, 13 March 2023 (UTC)
