Rio de Janeiro neighborhoods
[edit]Hi! As you moved several Rio de Janeiro neighborhood pages, can you also fix the links in the Template:Rio de Janeiro city neighbourhoods? Regards, --Carioca (talk) 21:02, 19 October 2013 (UTC)
Sure. I was about to finish moving/creating non-official neighborhoods in Rio. Once I finish, I will fix all links in the template. ivens (talk) 21:10, 19 October 2013 (UTC)
- OK. Thanks. Regards, --Carioca (talk) 21:19, 19 October 2013 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Marechal Hermes, Rio de Janeiro may have broken the syntax by modifying 2 "[]"s and 2 "{}"s likely mistaking one for another. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

UPPs
[edit]Thanks for helping with the wikilinks and uniformity on this article. Filling in that graph has been tedious from the start so it's appreciated! I changed one of the names to Santa Marta in order to coincide with the official name of the UPP, even though I prefer the name Dona Marta. Evenrød (talk) 00:26, 22 October 2013 (UTC)
- You're welcome. Just lemme know if I can help more. (btw, what is the correct way of answering a "talk" post like that? tx)
- Cool. Your comments are formatted just fine. At the end each new comment on a talk page simply type four tilde symbols so that the system can generate your name and time/date. Evenrød (talk) 22:28, 24 October 2013 (UTC)
Brazil subdivisions pattern
[edit]Hi. While I like your suggestions (but I dislike moving a city page to "city name, state acronym"), usually a page is moved only when its name is ambiguous. There is no need to move all pages, as some page moves are too controversial (like moving Belo Horizonte to Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais) and in those cases it is better to start a page move discussion first. There is no need to move the Rio de Janeiro neighborhoods back, just when moving a city or state you need to see if the name is ambiguous or not and in the case of potentially controversial moves like states and big/historically relevant cities it is better to start a page move discussion first. Hope that helps. Regards, --Carioca (talk) 18:52, 29 October 2013 (UTC)
Neighbourhoods in Rio de Janeiro
[edit]Hello, I don't know if you're still around, but I guess you should know that I moved back every Rio de Janeiro neighborhood article that you moved to "Neighborhood, Rio de Janeiro", and I have also moved every article you created with similar titles when there was no need for it. We don't normally disambiguate pages unless there is another page with that exact title. Adding unnecessary disambiguation terms to articles titles may confuse newcomers and create extra unwelcome difficulties when it comes to linking articles and handling templates. The article Mato Alto has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Lacks WP:SOURCES, last Edit 2012
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. CommanderWaterford (talk) 20:46, 2 February 2021 (UTC)
