Speedy deletion nomination of Ivan Artaza

[edit]

Hello Ivan Artaza,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Ivan Artaza for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

Response to your email

[edit]

Hello, Ivan! I received your email about the article Ivan Artaza. You were asking for help in creating the article about yourself. There are several problems with that article. The problems are about Wikipedia policy; they are not about a particular user picking on you. One problem is that you should not be writing an article about yourself, see WP:AUTOBIOGRAPHY. But the main problem is that Wikipedia has rules about what kind of subjects can have articles here. It is not enough for a person to have a masters degree, or to write for several publications. The requirement is that other, unrelated sources have written ABOUT the subject. Things like Facebook and LinkedIn do not count. Things that have been published that you have written do not count. What is needed is that independent parties have written ABOUT you. See WP:BIO for what is needed. Basically, I cannot help you save your article, and it will probably get deleted again. Please don't keep recreating it.

I don't know anything about the Spanish Wikipedia; it may have entirely different rules. I am only an admin on the English Wikipedia. You would have to ask someone at the Spanish Wikipedia about that.

Sorry I couldn't be more help! --MelanieN (talk) 03:45, 11 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Ivan Artaza, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may be soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Writing about yourself

[edit]

You are welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, but it is not a social media site like Facebook or LinkedIn for people to write about themselves. It is a quite different sort of site, a project to build an encyclopedia, so it is selective about subjects for articles. Writing about oneself is strongly discouraged, for reasons explained at Wikipedia is not about YOU and Wikipedia:Autobiography.

You can find out more about Wikipedia at the WP:Welcome page and the WP:Introduction, as well as Wikipedia's plain and simple conflict of interest guide. Thanks. --Drm310 (talk) 07:00, 11 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Deja de utilizar las Wikipedias en todos los idiomas para darte autobombo. Que sabemos que eres tú. De seguir así, serás bloqueado, tanto en la Wikipedia en español como en esta en inglés. Saludos. --Ravave (talk) 12:09, 11 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

What the heck is this? Someone threating me on Wikipedia with blocking any page I create? A new Franco dictature?

I would like to create an autobiography and it's not for promoting myself because I work in major corporations and there is no anything I can get from Wikipedia doing an autobiography.

There is a bad practise by Wikipedia Spain rejecting my article because firstly they said it was spam, then they told me I am a diva and I am selling myself, then they said it wasn't relevant for Wikipedia.

I am going to explain the sort of people that is accepted in Wikipedia Spain:

A lady who is famous for having sex with a bullfighter:

https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bel%C3%A9n_Esteban

A gigolo who used to be the lover of tycoon Jose Luis Moreno and now works as a pseudoactor

https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rub%C3%A9n_Sanz

A lady who has done a bit of television and given the famous "oight" points in Eurovision song contest

https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/In%C3%A9s_Paz

They keep deleting my complaints. I would like to create a stub or short biography about my work experience as a media executive and Journalist which is fair enough and about some articles published.

This is a honest description and it doesn't name or harm anybody else. The people in Wikipedia Spain they keep deleting it because they are jealous.

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but in this edit you removed a speedy deletion tag from Ivan Artaza, a page you have created yourself. If you believe the page should not be deleted, you may contest the deletion by clicking on the button that says: Contest this speedy deletion which appears inside the speedy deletion notice. This will allow you to make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with this edit to Ivan Artaza. Please make your case on the page's talk page instead if you disagree with the deletion. Thank you. David.moreno72 13:54, 11 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of María Elisa Estévez López

[edit]

The article María Elisa Estévez López has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No indication of notability, no secondary sources.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
