Discussion at your request
[edit]Greetings, I have received your request to discuss the Star Wars: Ewoks article. A more formal way to ask to discuss would be contact directly on their user page. You've stated the episode summary descriptions are "random episode notes", but the truth is I summarised and wrote them with my own words. It is good practice in Wikipedia to keep the summaries short and describe the outline of the episode and not to give spoilers or the entire plot. You can input your own summaries for the episodes 31, 32, 34 and 35, but try to keep them short and accurate at the same time. If you're in doubt, you can compare other episode lists in other articles. Happy editing. Deltasim (talk) 18:23, 16 September 2014 (UTC)
- Hi. Feel free talk to me the way you would with anybody else - no unnecessary big words and mansplaining. Also, there is no rule that states where one enters their comments, otherwise there would be no fields to add a comment. So, approaching another person from such a viewpoint is not a particularly kind way to start a conversation. Please, keep that in mind.
- Here are my notes, though I think they'll serve a better purpose on the article discussion page, so other people can see them:
- - The note about the kiss in Tragic Flute. is not necessary. The kiss does not have any significance to the plot and does not change anything until Zack Gialongo's comic published a year ago. An average reader cannot make an use of that. The note screams "hey, furies, here's some fetish fuel".
- - "Wicket and his friends" is an overused phrase in the entire article and degrades other characters to the point where they're insignificant. It makes the said summaries less accurate, even, as a different character was taking initiative in each episode.
- - There is no evidence that there is a Kintaka family. http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Kintaka_family
- - I'm pretty sure I can provide citations where they're missing.
Just to confirm.
- The link you provided is excatly where I got the Kintaka surname and it is indeed unsourced. I'll have to look into it to make sure it is correct.
- "Wicket and his friends" - Perhaps I have overused it and replacing it with the names of those who do accompany Wicket would avoid implying that every last one of his friends are always with him.
- Regarding the note about a kiss and other notes, I didn't add this trivia.
I have every confidence you can vastly improve not just the summaries but the entire article. Feel free to ask me for feedback anytime. Cheers! Deltasim (talk) 20:09, 17 September 2014 (UTC)
UPDATE: I have found a citation to the Kintaka name and added it. Deltasim (talk) 20:37, 17 September 2014 (UTC)

Europe 10,000 Challenge invite
[edit]Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Europe/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like Germany, Italy, the Benelux countries, Iberian Peninsula, Romania, Slovenia etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. If you would like to see masses of articles being improved for Europe and your specialist country like Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon, sign up today and once the challenge starts a contest can be organized. This is a way we can target every country of Europe, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant and also sign under any country sub challenge on the page that you might contribute to! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 09:08, 6 November 2016 (UTC)
