A tag has been placed on ITV Regions requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, "See also" section, book reference, category tag, template tag, interwiki link, rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. You're adding a future prognostication to this article without providing any cites to back it up. This is why I removed it. Please stop adding it without providing sources, per Wikipedia:Citing sources. --Hammersoft (talk) 17:05, 1 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Your username

[edit]

I've also just now realized that your username is very likely a violation of Wikipedia:Username policy as it appears to be a group account, and has been editing a large number of articles regarding ITV. There's a conflict of interest here. See Wikipedia:Conflict of interest. Is this a group account being used by multiple people, or is this account accessible by only one person? If only one person, are you an employee of ITV or any affiliated agency/group/company? --Hammersoft (talk) 17:08, 1 February 2011 (UTC) (merging discussion here; let's keep it in one place)[reply]

  • Hello there, Firstly, I had just expanded the section regarding the new presentation, I was not the creator of that part of the article. Secondly, I work for ITV Yorkshire / Calendar, and things that I have changed have all been correct (These are examples of what I am doing to the Disney Channel article about the future). I am not one of these people who will just abuse, I do think it through. So, before i do it, Im currently adding a sister networks section to the Disney Channel page, just like the US one, which will contain Disney XD, Playhouse Disney, and Disney Cinemagic aswell as the on demand. Is that ok? Thanks, — Preceding unsigned comment added by Itvitn (talkcontribs) 17:13, 1 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
    • Actually, no it's not ok. Whether or not something is true is not of interest to Wikipedia. We depend on whether something can be verified. See Wikipedia:Verifiability. This is policy. So, you work for ITV; you know XYZ thing is true, since you have information due to your association with ITV. That does not make that information encyclopedic. We are not a programming guide, we are not a prognosticator of future events, etc. We are an encyclopedia. As such, we must rely on external sources, especially secondary sources. I strongly suggest you read Wikipedia:Conflict of interest, and consider not editing ITV related articles unless you can provide secondary sources to backup whatever information you are attempting to add. --Hammersoft (talk) 17:18, 1 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
      • Your not answering my question, I asked if it was ok for you for me to create section about Disney Channel's sister networks - similar to the one on the Disney Channel US. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Itvitn (talkcontribs) .

Signing your username

[edit]

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --Hammersoft (talk) 17:46, 1 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thank You for that information Itvitn (talk) 14:29, 2 February 2011 (UTC)--Itvitn (talk) 14:29, 2 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The article List of films broadcast by Disney Channel in the UK & Ireland has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

trivial list, films in this list have a very minor correlation that is not notable

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
