[edit]Dear Sir Dimtri Nikolaj - and Estimable mr. Itsme: I herewith like to really thank you for your helpfull support in the case of my recent astonishing blocking up from further editing again. In the mean time with best regards I remain faithfully yours: D.A. Borgdorff - e.i. MASc. by 86.83.155.44 (talk) 13:26, 9 June 2008 (UTC)
Username-takeover
[edit]Pleased to meet you! My username is "Itsme" on the dutch Wikipedia and also on many other Wikimedia-projects. If you agree, I would like to take over your user account "Itsme" on the english-language Wikipedia.
Please see my wish in the context of the Single User Login on Wikimedia-projects; I would like to be "Itsme" on all Wikimedia-projects. At this moment on almost all Wikimedia-projekcts (Wikipedia, Wikisource, Wiktionary, Meta-wiki, Wikimedia Commons etc) in almost all languages I can login as "Itsme" (at this moment 552 accounts in total). In most english-language wiki-projects I am also "Itsme" already. See for example user "Itsme" on the english Wikibooks, Wikiquote, Wikisource, Wikiversity, Wiktionary and also on the meta-Wikimedia-projects Commons, Meta and Species.
On the english Wikipedia and Wikinews however, the username "Itsme" still belongs to you (I am user "Aldert" on the english Wikipedia). On the englsh Wikipedia you are still active, but on Wikinews your latest entry dates back to 2005.
Please let me know if you agree to a username change for you and a username takeover for me (on both projects), so that I can act as "Itsme" also on the english-language Wikipedia and Wikinews. We can arrange such a username change first on Wikipedia:Changing username/Simple and later on Wikipedia:Changing username/Simple or Wikipedia:Changing username/Usurpations. Please share your thoughts on this.
P.S. For some strange reason on talk-pages my account signs with "itsme" (without capital I), but if you click on it, it redirects to "Aldert". With kind regards, itsme (talk) 00:23, 23 February 2012 (UTC)

Your account will be renamed
[edit]Hello,
The developer team at Wikimedia is making some changes to how accounts work, as part of our on-going efforts to provide new and better tools for our users like cross-wiki notifications. These changes will mean you have the same account name everywhere. This will let us give you new features that will help you edit and discuss better, and allow more flexible user permissions for tools. One of the side-effects of this is that user accounts will now have to be unique across all 900 Wikimedia wikis. See the announcement for more information.
Unfortunately, your account clashes with another account also called Itsme. To make sure that both of you can use all Wikimedia projects in future, we have reserved the name Itsme~enwiki that only you will have. If you like it, you don't have to do anything. If you do not like it, you can pick out a different name. If you think you might own all of the accounts with this name and this message is in error, please visit Special:MergeAccount to check and attach all of your accounts to prevent them from being renamed.
Your account will still work as before, and you will be credited for all your edits made so far, but you will have to use the new account name when you log in.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Yours,
Keegan Peterzell
