Listing the names of the EU institutions...

[edit]

...in the official languages of the EU in Languages of the European Union is absolutely redundant. Maybe there is a place for this kind of information in the article of its institution - if it is necessary to mention something like that somewhere. I will remove the tables from this article if it is OK. Please, answer at the talk page of the article. --Michkalas 12:03, 27 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, you may be interested to know that I'm trying to create articles for all the red-links on the list of A.S. Roma players article, so it can be put up for Featured List nomination again. Problem I'm having is getting info on the older players (for example the ones playing in the 1930s and 1940s). Can you help? I've already created 7 football bio stubs, which is a good start but there are still many red-links to go.

Oh, and while I'm pure English (if there is such a thing), my mother now lives in Sardinia and I've visited many times, it's a beautiful part of the world. All the best The Rambling Man 08:41, 13 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Gaucho, thanks for your message. Yes, I'd like to make as many of the red links in the List of AS Roma players go blue, in other words, I'd like to make sure that an article exists for each player on the list. I've added several but I'd like some help getting information on the others. What do you think? The Rambling Man 15:22, 20 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Roma

[edit]

Ciao sul sito italiano c'è un progetto sull'as roma in fase di bozza. Se vuoi sostenerlo, fasi una visita al bar del 31 maggio!82.54.190.246 13:20, 1 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Could you please explain why you reverted my edits? Is there any rational, factual reason for including those players in that list, other than "personal opinion" (that is not a valid reason). I am trying to replace all unverifiable noted players sections with possibly verifiable ones, such as I did in F.C. Internazionale Milano and AS Roma, before you reverted my edit. --Angelo 11:59, 24 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Potresti aiutare :)? Grazie! Edricson 11:22, 2 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

AS Roma

[edit]

Hello, could you explain your revert on the A.S. Roma article please? If you see the Wikipedia:WikiProject Football/Clubs guideline it shows that information such as that on its badge deserves its own section, not in the opening paragraph. If we are to get it to WP:Good article standard the MOS will need to be followed, please see an article like Juventus F.C. for an example of an article that has achieved that status. - Soprani 23:13, 19 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, yes. Although Rome is indeed more known than the region it falls into, it is standard to specify information such as this in club article, see; SSC Napoli and it having Naples, Campania. (Napoli the city is more well known than Campania, but it is still mentioned)
The runners-up seasons are still featured in the article? Just with a cleaner set-out which makes it more readable. The international record is useful information true, but it doesn't follow Wikipedia:WikiProject Football/Clubs and non of the featured article football articles have that, so I merged it into AS Roma statistics instead. Hope this is of help. - Soprani 17:51, 20 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Coppa delle Coppe

[edit]
The Ottorino Barassi Cup was a official trophy (in my ticket for the match there is the UEFA Logo); UEFA not organise this Trophy, but patrocined !! The same argumentation for Alpes Cup (I'm sure for first edition)

The Armando Picchi Supertrophy was a official competition by FIGC (8 team partecipated in two groups, semifinal and final in Rome). Font: the locandine manifestation are FIGC Logo. Toshiro70 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.220.71.152 (talk) 12:13, 2 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Roberto Pruzzo

[edit]

The image of Pruzzo with a defender is specifically from the season in which he and Roma won Serie A, as he was the topscorer for Roma that season it is historically significant. The other picture, aside from being an odd shape is from an entirely different season... it would be fine to depict him in his own article though. - Soprani 18:14, 2 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Totti's Statistics

[edit]

Hello, I can't understand Italian language (sorry for my English too, My main language is Thai). Maybe the number of Totti's goals have confused from 2004/05 season in Champions League match against Bayer Leverkusen, Sky Italia or many people espacially AS Roma fans credits Totti score from freekick but UEFA website not count this shot and noted for an own goal from Leverkusen player. If you have a correct number of Totti goals per season that suitable for current 198 goals in the Interview, you can edit in statistics any time. I will follow the news of 200 goals next soon and maybe change the goals in 2004/05 season later. (I'm sure the number of Serie A goal already correct.) Please to talk with you, I love Italian football very much. --Tontotti (talk) 17:54, 14 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I can understand your message with google translate. :-) Why I support AS Roma?, maybe I love Rome and I like Totti very much, I'm support AS Roma since 1995. We have 8-9 Thai AS Roma fans to discuss after matches in Thai message board. Unfortunately, In my country, English football is no.1 popular (not me), Thai cable TV members have to pay 40 euro per month, they can watch all Premier league matches but only just 3 or 4 Serie A matches per week, no pay-per-view, I have to pay the same prices!!. I have a question one thing, How we can change wikipadia English page of "Italian Super Cup"? I would like to change this name to "Supercoppa Italiana" for primary page name not a redirect name, because this is a real name of competition, can we used Italian name just like we used Coppa Italia for Italian Cup? I have seen the name of Spanish Super Cup or French Super Cup used their language names in English page. I try to edit but can't proceed that. I have not member of Italian football project, never talk to anyone, What do you think about this? --Tontotti (talk) 19:26, 15 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on A.S. Roma Hall of Fame requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from http://www.asroma.com/en/club/hall-of-fame. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
