Moving articles

[edit]

Hi. You recently made some significant page moves without discussion. (Almoravid -> Almorawid, Vizier -> Wazier, etc.) Please take care to read the guidelines to article titles in WP:COMMONNAME and WP:ENG. In a nutshell: the spelling used here in Wikipedia is that most commonly found in modern English sources. If it is a major page, likely to be disputed, I suggest you first make the move proposal in the relevant talk page, and obtain consensus for it before doing so. Or even better, to get quicker feedback, submit the proposal to Wikipedia:Requested moves. Walrasiad (talk) 17:20, 21 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

FYI, next time you steal an article from a user's sandbox it would be slightly less rude to at least let them know...as it stands I've moved it back, please do not touch it again. GiantSnowman 12:58, 18 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for mentioning that. I wanted to inform you, but didn't know the way. And to be honest, I expected you to be glad that it is created because I thought that you couldn't post it yourself. I wanted to contribute to the general knowledge on this website and I wasn't looking for any recognition, if you would kindly post the article, I, along with many other knowledge seekers will be glad about your action. I hope you will do it as soon as possible. However, I don not think I have violated any of the rules of Wikipedia and if I had then I would like to give my sincere apology for that. But going back to my previous point, I didn't create the article for recognition, it is created to contribute to the accessible knowledge of Wikipedia. --Isa123456789 (talk) 21:07, 18 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
