[edit]Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions, such as the edit you made to The Logical Song, did not appear constructive and has been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use the sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. Please discuss the issue on the article's talk page before continuing. This is a copyright issue. SummerPhDv2.0 18:57, 18 November 2017 (UTC)
Please stop making disruptive edits, as you did at The Logical Song.
- If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor, discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page, and seek consensus with them. Alternatively you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant notice boards.
- If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.
If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, you may be blocked from editing. - FlightTime (open channel) 19:50, 18 November 2017 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free image File:Classics Live - The Logical Song (Single) by Roger Hodgson.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Classics Live - The Logical Song (Single) by Roger Hodgson.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. SummerPhDv2.0 01:38, 19 November 2017 (UTC)

[edit]You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you use Wikipedia for soapboxing, promotion or advertising, as you did at Even in the Quietest Moments.... Persistent promotion of Roger Hodgson. Binksternet (talk) 19:49, 21 November 2017 (UTC)
It would be significant to realize that Hodgson is a founding, original member of the band and therefore, including information about his songwriting, how songs were composed, live performances, etc., is not considered 'promotion.' Iridescentbutterfly (talk) 20:14, 21 November 2017 (UTC)
Edit warring
[edit] You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on The Logical Song. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Please be particularly aware that Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made.
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. - FlightTime (open channel) 20:05, 21 November 2017 (UTC) It is improper to blanket revert information cited through numerous references, and to claim the revert is about the live version. There has been no discussion from others on the actual cited facts themselves, especially since they are proven through the referenced source. Iridescentbutterfly (talk) 21:21, 21 November 2017 (UTC)

Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. Binksternet (talk) 21:00, 21 November 2017 (UTC)
- Disagree. Clip was uploaded with non-free rationale, as the clip has historical significance for inclusion in the article, nonetheless on the original songwriter's page. Iridescentbutterfly (talk)
- You don't get to "disagree" with the facts. The audio clips were uploaded with a rationale that allowed each of them to be used in exactly one article, the article about the song represented in the sample. No other article can have the audio sample in it, unless a fair-use rationale can be supported for another article. Binksternet (talk) 21:20, 21 November 2017 (UTC)
