Sporran

[edit]

Thanks for your additions to Sporran. Can I make a couple of suggestions?

  • The section you added about The Sporran’s tradition in Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders Regiment doesn't have any sources. This might be taken as a suggestion that it is original research, which isn't permitted. Do you have any sources you could cite in the section?
  • The section is quite big when compared to the rest of the article and quite specifically scoped. Do you think it might make a good article of its own? Then you could link to it from both Sporran and Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders. You'd still need to add cites, but I think it would be better like this. Unless you're planning in adding further sections to Sporran about other regiments?

Thanks. --Escape Orbit (Talk) 14:14, 6 September 2016 (UTC) Hi, Many thanks for your reply, but it seems I have put sources' name in the reference? Yes, you're right, I have many images of Sporrans in the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders. But I just a bit worried about, if this theme is enough notable to be independent article? Thx[reply]

Well it is very niche, but as long as you can include good sources I don't see why an article can't be written. --Escape Orbit (Talk) 14:06, 7 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm MelbourneStar. I noticed that in this edit to Sporran, you removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. —MelbourneStartalk 14:00, 12 September 2016 (UTC) Hi, sorry for this , I didn't notice my mistake, I am just a beginner of Edition, have no experience about this issue, I will notice it at next time, many thanks to notice me about this issue![reply]
