Hypericum triquetrifolium
Kreecher (talk) 10:15, 28 July 2015 (UTC)
Image size
[edit]200px is a nice small size that keeps the taxobox from taking up too much space. My reason for using that size for all taxobox images, regardless of amount of article text, is consistancy. If the image size is larger for sparse articles, and then if that article grows, the image will need to be resized. However, I've generally moved from actually resizing the image files to using the Wiki auto-resizing that allows the user to click on the image to see it in full if they so desire. - UtherSRG 15:22, 2 Apr 2004 (UTC)
Hello Iorsh, just now I found your very nice image Image:Anemone_coronaria.jpg. Unfortunately, something went wrong with the determination of the plants. The image shows some species of Ranunculus, propably Ranunculus asiaticus - see [1]. Anemone coronaria looks like this: [2] Please, compare the (undivided) calyx of Ranunculus with the dissected leaves beyond the flowers in Anemone. Best wishes --Franz Xaver 12:30, 7 Apr 2004 (UTC)

[edit]The quality of the picture is larger than most screens handle. By using the syntax that you replaced this works fine for many browsers. The thumb technology is not good for good pictures. GerardM 21:42, 11 Apr 2004 (UTC)

steroid structure
[edit]I think you added the very nice chemical structure of cholesterol. If correct, may I ask please whether you found it elsewhere or whether you created it? I would like to find or construct similar structure images for the other steroid hormones for which we have articles. I downloaded Chemsketch 5.0 but I'm looking for something quicker or readymade. Suggestions or sources? thanks Alteripse 15:41, 30 May 2004 (UTC)
Great work on images
[edit]I was just working on WP:IFD where someone made a dupe of your picture i deleted, great work on things like Image:Corticosterone.png, and nice to include the sourcecode required to generate it. --Ævar Arnfjörð Bjarmason 20:55, 2004 Jun 30 (UTC)

Plants
[edit]Welcome at the plants project! TeunSpaans 07:43, 10 Sep 2004 (UTC)
Hi Maks, and sorry if i took too long to respond. The plant Kistos you mentioned in my talk page does grow where i live. It's a rockrose used to make herbals and aromatics. Now, about the name of it I am not sure and I am not a philologist, but i think it is just the name of the plant. It does not mean (or ever meant) "youth" as far as I know. Take a look at this http://www.greece.gr/ENVIRONMENT/ScienceAndTechnology/herbalremedies.stm 11:54, 4 Dec 2004 (UTC) el:User:Gkastel

[edit]Hi Iorsh - I use standard scientific journal citation style, which is Journal 12: 34-56. - MPF 09:56, 10 Nov 2004 (UTC)
I reverted your change on Numerical ordinary differential equations. The consensus on Wikipedia:WikiProject Mathematics, to which I agree, is that the <math> tags in running text is discouraged because it can look rather ugly, and as far as I can see the original version was adequate. -- Jitse Niesen 10:43, 10 Nov 2004 (UTC)
The Humungous Image Tagging Project
[edit]Hi. You've helped with the Wikipedia:WikiProject Wiki Syntax, so I thought it worth alerting you to the latest and greatest of Wikipedia fixing project, User:Yann/Untagged Images, which is seeking to put copyright tags on all of the untagged images. There are probably, oh, thirty thousand or so to do (he said, reaching into the air for a large figure). But hey: they're images ... you'll get to see lots of random pretty pictures. That must be better than looking for at at and the the, non? You know you'll love it. best wishes --Tagishsimon (talk)
Unverified images
[edit]Hi! Thanks for uploading the following images:
I notice it currently doesn't have an image copyright tag. Could you add one to let us know its copyright status? (You can use gfdl if you release it under the GNU Free Documentation License, fairuse if you claim fair use, etc.) If you don't know what any of this means, just let me know at my talk page where you got the images and I'll tag them for you. Thanks so much. Peter O. (Talk, automation script) 22:31, Dec 10, 2004 (UTC)
P.S. You can help tag other images at User:Yann/Untagged_Images. Thanks again.

Article Licensing
[edit]Hi, I've started a drive to get users to multi-license all of their contributions that they've made to either (1) all U.S. state, county, and city articles or (2) all articles, using the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike (CC-by-sa) v1.0 and v2.0 Licenses or into the public domain if they prefer. The CC-by-sa license is a true free documentation license that is similar to Wikipedia's license, the GFDL, but it allows other projects, such as WikiTravel, to use our articles. Since you are among the top 2000 Wikipedians by edits, I was wondering if you would be willing to multi-license all of your contributions or at minimum those on the geographic articles. Over 90% of people asked have agreed. For More Information:
- Multi-Licensing FAQ - Lots of questions answered
- Multi-Licensing Guide
- Free the Rambot Articles Project
To allow us to track those users who muli-license their contributions, many users copy and paste the "DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual" template into their user page, but there are other options at Template messages/User namespace. The following examples could also copied and pasted into your user page:
- Option 1
- I agree to multi-license all my contributions, with the exception of my user pages, as described below:
- DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual
OR
- Option 2
- I agree to multi-license all my contributions to any U.S. state, county, or city article as described below:
- DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual
Or if you wanted to place your work into the public domain, you could replace "DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual" with "MultiLicensePD". If you only prefer using the GFDL, I would like to know that too. Please let me know what you think at my talk page. It's important to know either way so no one keeps asking. -- Ram-Man (comment| talk)

[edit]Hello, lorsh!
I'd like to congratulate you for the nice image of Chicory in http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Image:Cichorium_pumilum.jpg
It really makes Chicory a flower, not only a vegetable.
Also to to confirm it is Free Art and can be used in the chicory article of the Portuguese version of Wikipedia. Its license information is considered obsolete and so i'm not sure.
Best regards, --HgfernanMsg 07:04, 25 March 2006 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image (Image:Israel-coa-medium.png)
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Israel-coa-medium.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 01:40, 20 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Rustaveli.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 13:19, 3 December 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Calliopejen1 (talk) 13:19, 3 December 2008 (UTC)

Article on Well Solitaire is unverified and not notable
[edit]If I'm not mistaken you created the page Well (solitaire). Can you make an argument for retaining this page rather than deleting? It's just a variant of Beleaguered City, and I can find zero reference to it anywhere. I have extensive experience with solitaire games, and the only solitaire game I've ever come across and can find with the same title is a variant of Four Seasons Solitaire, and is completely unrelated.
This seems to fail all the requirements for inclusion on Wikipedia, and is not notable or verifiable. If this conclusion is incorrect, please supply evidence otherwise. Gregorytopov (talk) 06:25, 15 October 2020 (UTC)
Nomination of Well (solitaire) for deletion
[edit]A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Well (solitaire), to which you have significantly contributed, is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or if it should be deleted.
The discussion will take place at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Well (solitaire) until a consensus is reached, and anyone, including you, is welcome to contribute to the discussion. Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article.
