Proposed deletion of Brooklyn Weaver

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Brooklyn Weaver, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. The problem with the article was that the way it was written, it violated several Wikipedia policies. Specifically, the article failed to show how the subject is notable, it had no verifiable citations to back up the notability claim (or anything factual in the article), it was not written from a neutral point of view and it read like an advertisement, which raises questions about you having a personal interest in this subject, which is also a violation of Wikipedia's policy on conflict of interest. Also, Wikipedia is not your web host—this material is fine on a general web site, but not for an encyclopedia. As such, the article has been speedy deleted. -- Gmatsuda (talk) 00:11, 3 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
FYI: I removed the prod and changed it to speedy delete because the article had been speedy deleted at least twice before. -- Gmatsuda (talk) 00:09, 3 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
