ACC interface request

I have requested an account on the ACC account creation interface. Intelligentsium 21:55, 5 July 2009 (UTC)

Your account has been approved. Please read the guide. For the time being you will only be able to create 6 accounts per day and won't be able to create accounts with a username similar to that of an existing user; if you find yourself hitting these limits regularly, please request the accountcreator flag at WP:RPE. Thanks. Stifle (talk) 16:14, 9 July 2009 (UTC)

Thank you for pointing that out to me. I thought that I had included a colon and wouldn't have noticed unless you pointed it out. Thanks!

I'm disappointed

Please explain this:

STOP, VANDAL!

[[Image:Stop hand nuvola.svg|50px]] [Image removed] STOP! Are you going to vandalize a page? Do NOT make unconstuctive edits in the mainspace; instead, vandalize here, or here. (Follow the links). Regards, SchnitzelMannGreek. 03:03, 1 July 2009 (UTC)

Resolved. For future reference, the links lead YOU to vandalize your pages, not vandals. Intelligentsium 17:15, 1 July 2009 (UTC)

Thank you for the welcome message. I see that you are waiting to adopt a newbie. I know all the guidelines and policies in WP, but I am completely new to editing, and contributing. I have a hundred questions to ask of an experienced user. May I? If yes, where do I do that? Right here? (Forgot the four tildes, so here goes:)Sudeepneelakantan (talk) 20:10, 4 July 2009 (UTC)

Catherine D'Mailly‎

My thanks for getting that added for a speedy deletion. --Kansas Bear (talk) 01:20, 6 July 2009 (UTC)

Your Help Desk Edit

Just kind of a heads up/FYI as to your edit here. It looks like you were trying to have an external link to Commons. External links need a http:// before them, thusly. Best, TNXMan 16:48, 6 July 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for adding the URL to my tag. I so rarely use the copyvio tag that I'd forgotten how to insert the URL, but you've made it very plain what's going on (and I've now used that as a model for next time). Much obliged. Accounting4Taste:talk 21:21, 17 July 2009 (UTC)

PeopleForce Inc.

Hello. I noticed you added a ProD tag to PeopleForce, Inc.. Your reason provided was "G12 - Company". To the extent of my knowledge, G12 (Copyvio, not company) applies only to speedy deletion. If you believe an article is advertising, please use {{db-g11}} instead. If an article is about an unremarkable company, use {{db-corp}}. Thank you. Intelligentsium 16:04, 21 July 2009 (UTC)

That was indeed what I meant, G11. I apologize for the typo. LeilaniLad (talk) 16:06, 21 July 2009 (UTC)

Hi, My questions may seem trivial, but I think their answers would help me better understand how WP functions. First of all, how did you happen to leave me a welcome message, even though I had registered this account years ago? I'm assuming it's because it's the first serious edit I did. Again, how did you happen to welcome me as soon as I made those edits? Do you and other editors keep patrolling all recently modified pages? And how was it that it was you who happened to welcome me? Is it because my edits reflected your ideological leanings (as gathered from your userpage)? Thanks. Sudeepneelakantan (talk) 16:59, 13 August 2009 (UTC)

Your vandalism

I am not writing an article about myself. I am a fan of the artist, Mjp. That is why my username includes it. Please do not delete a sourced article. Doing so violates wikipedia policies. I will bring up an ANI report. --Mjp2515 (talk) 01:33, 20 August 2009 (UTC)

Sorry, but I find your behavior to not assume good faith. You have violated several polices continuously, therefore I have made an ANI report against your filthy behavior. --Mjp2515 (talk) 01:59, 20 August 2009 (UTC)
No offense, but I find that it is you who are not assuming good faith. If you can show me which policies I have "violated continuously", then I would be glad to change. However, I wonder how you know what I have been doing "continuously", when your account was created less than two weeks ago. --Intelligentsium 02:09, 20 August 2009 (UTC)

New page patrol info

Hi, i saw you left a notice on my talk page. As I noticed the page Stupid_Jimmie on the Recent Changes list and followed that link I didn't get the option to mark the page as patrolled. I'll make sure that from now on I will visit the New pages section to mark the new pages I've looked up via Recent Changes as "Patrolled". Jarkeld (talk) 00:34, 22 August 2009 (UTC)

I've nominated another new page for speedy deletion and Twinkle mentions that it marks the page as patrolled. I've checked and it had marked the page as patrolled. Jarkeld (talk) 00:57, 22 August 2009 (UTC)

I have removed my own name from the facebook terrorism article, and only had myself listed to give facebook terrorism an origin, i take the topic very seriously and have not created it for self promotion, nor am i "psychotic". I would please ask you to give the article time to grow. I have much respect for wikipedia and would appreciate it if you would respect the views of others and not request "speedy deletions" due to personal bias. Thank you. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Danthemanwalder (talkcontribs) 01:11, 22 August 2009 (UTC)

Code for greeting message

Hi, Intelligentsium. As I said at the help desk, the code you want for this is:

  • {{#ifexpr: {{CURRENTHOUR}}>15 | Good evening | {{#ifexpr: {{CURRENTHOUR}}>12 | Good afternoon | Good morning }} }}

If the current hour is more than the 15th hour (3 pm) it will display "Good evening". If its more than 12 but less that 15, it'll display "Good afternoon". If the current hour is out of both these ranges (that is, between 0 and 12) it'll display "Good morning". You can change the numbers as you like, and of course you can make the messages more colourful :) Please ask if you need any further help with this. ≈ Chamal talk ¤ 03:20, 30 August 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for the update. It wasn't necessary though - I had to leave for a while. I would have checked back at the Help Desk eventually. Intelligentsium 22:59, 8 September 2009 (UTC)
No problem. I just didn't want you to think you had won this week's edition of "Stump the Help Desk". :) TNXMan 00:41, 9 September 2009 (UTC)

Grønland

Grønland is not English and as such I'm not sure it should relink to Greenland the country/isle -- including the Talk page. Grønland does, however, refer to an area in Oslo, Norway. The article in question is and always was about the area in Oslo. However, someone who may not have known Oslo or Norway too well, changed Grønland to redirect to Greenland for some reason. Then this person changed 'Grønland' to 'Grønland (street)'. I've moved the article back to the original headline, but a later edit has redirected the Grønland (talk) page to Greenland the country/island, etc. Possible to undo these edits and let the proposed deletion stay such? The article is at this point superfluous. Obscuros (talk) 00:57, 9 September 2009 (UTC)Obscuros

Both the articles in question refer to the area Grønland in Norway. Neither article ever was about a street, nor do they have to do with a country by another name(in English). In fact, it was the same article that someone moved, though they should not have. I moved it back and fixed the TALK relink. Be that as it may, the main problem now is that Grønland (talk)--talk re: a neighbourhood in Oslo--has been relinked to Greenland (talk). It seems better to have both pages have a TALK section. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Obscuros (talkcontribs) 01:27, 9 September 2009 (UTC)
By the way, one could argue that the superfluous page could be used to write about the street in Oslo, should anyone ever wish to do so, however the headline format is wrong as per Category:Streets in Oslo. Oh, and though Grønland may refer to Greenland in other languages, I'm not sure what this would have to do with English -- which is the language of this article. Danes and Norwegians have their own pages on these subjects in their own language. It still strikes me that Grønland and Greenland ought to have their own TALK pages, rather than Greenland having both. Up to you. Obscuros (talk) 01:47, 9 September 2009 (UTC)Obscuros

colonial masses

yes it is major vandalism. dolt. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.196.66.236 (talk) 20:05, 11 September 2009 (UTC)

High-grade article, instead of senseless redirection is necessary for this page.

Me railways of Ireland, their history and today interest. I translate articles for Russian part Wikipedia... I go from link to page to learn about the former railway and the company it operating... Also what I see? Senseless redirect on a three-four steampee trainee? Зелёный Кошак (talk) 15:42, 12 September 2009 (UTC)

Hi Intelligentsium! I noticed that Huggle added several warnings to the talk page of 66.204.28.201. The last one put that anon at Level 4. Unfortunately, HG doesn’t report the little vandals. When you see HG applying a Level 4 warning, you might want to go and file a report at WP:AIV. It only takes a minutes or so and it gets the miscreants blocked for a time. I took the liberty of reporting this particular offender to WP:AIV. Thanks! It warms my heart to see yet another toiler in the fields of RCP! — Spike (talk) 00:19, 26 September 2009 (UTC)

Hi Intelligentsium!

I'm curious as to why you added WP:Tone to Sonja Lyubomirsky -- this is one of my first new articles so I would really appreciate any advice you can offer!
