Request reason:
I have made many valuable contributions to various topics in the past. I first found Wikipedia because my site routingtool.com was listed as a resource under Routing transit number. My site provides free look up of routing numbers for any US bank and has over 140,000 free users. A few weeks/months ago, a for profit website using google ads to generate revenue deleted my origianl link and put a link to routingnumbers.org. This site is OK as a companion, but the site owner keeps deleting the link to routingtool and adding his site. I eventually deleted the link to routingnumbers.org as it seemed like bad practice, period. Even still, it was added back in and my link deleted. Now, someone has blocked me from Wikipedia completely, saying that I am posting the link to routingtool.com for commercial gain. I am just adding back what someone originally put in, which seems very relevant. I hope my account will be unblocked, as I often make small edits to ecommerce and banking related articles that are very beneficial to all users. Thank you.
Decline reason:
I'm having quite a bit of difficulty locating the "small edits to ecommerce and banking related articles that are very beneficial to all users". Do you mean where you inserted a spam link to your primary line of business here, here, here, here, here, or here? Exactly what do you intend to contribute that isn't self-promotional? Thanks for your follow up. I think this decision should be reviewed. I understand that perhaps for the topic "CheckWriter" I should have created a separate listing about the actual brand name and trade mark, aside from the physical machine, rather than including it on the existing page? The "small edits" that come to mind are about the "know your customers" requirement for financial services and the "Address Verification System" or AVS system. I know I have made others. None of these are intended to be self promotional. My primary line of business is real estate and property management although I do work with financial services and have a BS in Journalism. I am just learning Wikipedia and basically put in a few links to see how it all worked after the routingtool.com link was deleted and replaced with another, which brought my attention to the fact that editing was actually possible. I have been experimenting with creating new topics and writing articles for terms that do not exist yet. I think you are being hypercritical and my actual intent is being misunderstood. The tone of your answer is very cynical and not at all professional or objective. I realize there must be a lot of abuse on this sytem, as I learned by the routingnumbers.org incident. If the same or another editor would please review my situation, I think you will find a life-time block on this 36 year-old is a bit harsh. I fully understand the situation, and the requirement for including a "why" with each edit or deletion, and again appeal to be unblocked.
- Supposing you were unblocked, what articles do you intend to work on? What part are you interested in playing here at Wikipedia? Trusilver 15:14, 5 January 2009 (UTC)

Request reason:
Thank you for your follow up. You wanted to know what my plans were to make contributions to Wikipedia. Essentially, I would like to write about what I know. I would like to create a page for the Fenway Garden Society, an non-profit organization where I am the VP of Communications and Development and maintain the website http://fenwayvictorygardens.com. I would like to write about Lower Allston, my neighborhood in Boston and Royal Street where I live and already have a page http://royal-street.com. I would like to write about antique VW Beetles and contribute to existing documentation using my experience collecting over two dozen Beetles, restoring them and preserving them. I have another page I am working on at http://superbeetle.org. I would like to be able to make edits to existing topics where I can clarify or contribute to current topic. I am just learning Wikipedia and understand about the sandbox, and have also started making a local wiki on my own site, to learn the language and etiquette. I am not a link spammer, self promoter, or risk to the integrity of the site and would really like to opportunity to be unblocked. Apparently, it is very easy to block someone and very hard to get unblocked. I agree to all of the terms of service and feel this lifetime prohibition is going too far. Please reconsider.
