Hi Callanecc, thank you for your comment. I do not have a website nor am I promoting a particular brand. The name could equally be representative of an individual unless you have evidence to the contrary. I am simply uploading relevant content, to a wikipedia article as I have an interest in academic quality. I will also be making additions based on other QAA content. Thank you for replying and being interested in contributing to Wikipedia. All I did was Google "Inside education" ([1]) and the first website which came up was http://www.insideeducation.ca/. Given that, I think that the username is a violation of the username policy. If nothing else while ever you have a username which may indicate that you have a conflict of interest your edits will be help to a much higher standard (whether it's 'right' or not, that's what happens). So it would probably be easier in the long-term to choser a different username, which is a pretty easy process (have a look at Wikipedia:Changing username). I will certainly consider changing the name. Although I believe you will find that your search on Google led you to a website related to support for teachers and students "Our Mission We are a charitable education society providing programs that enable Canadian teachers and students to understand the science, technology and issues related to our environment and natural resources". Are you suggesting I am promoting this? Inside education is suitably vague to not be attributed to a particular organisation or to so many different organisations providing a wide variety of different sources that it would not be considered promotional. I am happy to be scrutinised after all it is evidence from the governing body for UK higher education. (Inside education (talk) 17:21, 11 August 2012 (UTC))[reply]

As an uninvolved editor, I concur with Callanecc that your username appears to be a problem. I would recommend changing the name. Of course, you are free to disagree, in which case any concerned editor could take the issue to the COI Noticeboard. It is just easier to avoid potential problems and change the name.
