Maniac Latin Disciples

[edit]

If you'd like to start contributing to wikipedia, please read the links in your welcome message. Every article needs to meet basic notability standards, and every article needs to be verifiable. We do this through citing multiple, independent, reliable sources which covers the topic at hand. You cannot post personal knowledge on wikipedia. Everything has to be traced back to a reliable source, in order to make sure ALL content is verifiable. If you have any questions about this, feel free to ask. I have deleted Maniac Latin Disciples again because it doesn't meet these very basic standards of wikipedia. -Andrew c [talk] 23:14, 18 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to work on the text, here it is:
  • The Maniac Latin Disciples also known as MLDs are chicago based street gang that started in the late 1960's/early1970's in humbolt park,IL to defend hispanic americans from white gangs such as the gaylords and simon city royals.there main rivals today are the Latin Kings.the MLDs currently are split up and are fighting them selves. The maniac latin disciples were the first gang to allow African-American,White,and hispanic people into there gang something that seperates them from more than half of the street gangs in the united states today.they also were one of the frist gangs to use females for moving guns and drugs. The maniac latin disciples also were the first gang to allow members to retire instead of getting killed for leaving the gang.
Remember, the second you hit save on a live article, you are publishing something that is readable by the general public. Something without sources, and with poor grammar and typos is extremely unprofessional. Please consider revising your edits better in the future, and using spell checker, before posting live content for the whole internet to see. Also, it may help if you have sources, and let the article be written based on the sources, instead of writing from your own head, and then trying to find sources to back up your personal claims. Hope this helps.-Andrew c [talk] 23:22, 18 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Chicago gangs

[edit]

Please stop adding unsoruced content to this article. Wikipedia has a set of basic principles that need to be followed. All content needs to be verifiable. We do this by citing reliable sources. If you don't understand our policies, or how wikipedia works, feel free to ask questions. But please stop adding content that is not supported by citations. Thanks.-Andrew c [talk] 00:57, 26 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Not to be rude, but have you taken the time to acquaint yourself with some of wikipedia's basic policies. WP:SPS clearly states that Wikipedia cannot be used as a reliable source. -Andrew c [talk] 03:03, 26 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Attack

[edit]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on this page, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because the article is a page created primarily to disparage its subject or a biography of a living person that is controversial in tone and unsourced, where there is no neutral point of view version in the history to revert to. (CSD G10).

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting the article, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Please note, this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion, it did not nominate the article itself. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot. CSDWarnBot (talk) 00:10, 28 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Spanish Lords, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the page's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself.

If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do. You may also want to move the page to EverythingWiki. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Lots42 (talk) 02:30, 15 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Gang pages

[edit]

First, please read WP:ORG. If your article does not meet basic notability requirements, it will be deleted. You are doing the wikipedia community a disservice when you create pages that are poorly written, fully of basic grammatical errors, lack inline citation, and fail to meet basic wikipedia inclusion policies. On top of that, I found at least one of your articles had copied, verbatum, text from the internet. Copyright violations like these (found in the New breeds gang article), will be deleted on sight. Please take the time to familiarize yourself with wikipedia guidelines and policies, then take the time to write your articles so they meet our standards. Also take the time to spell check, copy edit, and add sources and inline citations to support your articles. If you follow this simple advice, I'm sure you can create wonderful articles that wikipedia can use. If you have any questions about this, feel free to ask. Thanks-Andrew c [talk] 21:59, 20 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This is the last warning you will receive for your disruptive edits.
The next time you add defamatory content, as you did to the various gang articles, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. you may not enter text saying particular named individuals have committed crimes without full documentation from a reliable published source, not just a web page. See WP:BLPYou will be blocked if you continue .DGG (talk)

Speedy deletion of New breeds

[edit]

A tag has been placed on New breeds requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Proposed deletion of Maniac Latin Disciples

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Maniac Latin Disciples, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

No reliable sources to show notablity

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is List of gangs active in the midwest United States. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of gangs active in the midwest United States.
