[edit]Please do not remove speedy deletion tags from articles that you have created yourself. If you do not believe the article deserves to be deleted, then please place {{hangon}} on the page and make your case on the article's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. - CobaltBlueTony 17:02, 28 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit]Thank you for your suggestion! When you feel an article needs improvement, please feel free to make those changes. Wikipedia is a wiki, so anyone can edit almost any article by simply following the Edit this page link at the top. You don't even need to log in (although there are many reasons why you might want to). The Wikipedia community encourages you to be bold in updating pages. Don't worry too much about making honest mistakes — they're likely to be found and corrected quickly. If you're not sure how editing works, check out how to edit a page, or use the sandbox to try out your editing skills. New contributors are always welcome. - CobaltBlueTony 18:03, 31 August 2006 (UTC)
I'm slowly getting it. Its interesting to see how the community sorts things out. I Love it. Innertron 03:37, 8 September 2006 (UTC)
The article Rory Lewis has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Assistant Prof, no secondary sources, highest cited paper, 18, single digit h-index.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Abductive (reasoning) 11:00, 13 February 2011 (UTC)
Rory Lewis
[edit]I take your comments on the talk page today to be an objection to deletion, so per WP:DEL#Proposed deletion I have restored the article; but I will notify Abductive (talk), who proposed it, in case s/he wishes to consider nominating it at WP:Articles for deletion. By all means improve the article to make notability clearer - independent comment about Lewis rather than publications by him is the best indicator.
The history is complicated by the fact that after this was deleted an article about a different Rory Lewis, a photographer, was posted and deleted, giving rise to 72 edits dated 23 - 26 Oct 2011, which are in the history but which I have not restored.
