Adding tags to dozens of articles

[edit]

Hi, welcome to Wikipedia.

Instead of just adding tags to dozens of articles--verify, cleanup, wikify, and so forth--would you please include a note on the talk page as to why you are doing so, and what exactly needs to be verified, cleaned up, and so forth? For example a lot of articles you tagged as "wikify" are already well linked. Thanks, Antandrus (talk) 01:33, 25 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'd like to second this...just putting a blanket "verify" on a page is nearly useless. Of course all content on a wikipedia webpage needs to be verified... -- Metahacker 02:28, 25 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop adding inappropriate templates to articles. Clearly, Evan Mecham does not need to be "cleaned up". Gelasian is already referenced. By continuing to add templates without explanation, your actions appear to be those of a vandal. –Outriggr § 02:33, 25 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed. If you wish to make contributions to wikipedia and see articles that need improvment, please make some effort to improve them. Please be a contributor and editor helping improve encyclopedic content, or find somewhere else to play. You may consider this a warning. And you have no reason to make snarky complaints about not being accepted when you cannot show examples of your work to improve articles. -- Infrogmation 15:22, 25 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Temporary block

[edit]

I've reviewed a good number of your edits. Many of your templates are clearly applied inappropriately (eg; "Wikify" on articles which have already been wikified). Whether your actions are or aren't deliberate trolling, they have been disruptive. Please review the links above on the welcome message take the above warnings to heart if you plan to return to editing here. -- Infrogmation 15:36, 25 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I am just wondering how long the block is lasting. It doesn't say anywhere. There is not block info box so I can't paste anything like your screenshot shows. I'm just trying to learn how to use Wikipedia. -- InnerJustice 15:57, 26 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
