Lead Section Size

The lead section of a Wikipedia article is the section before the first heading. The table of contents, if displayed, generally appears between the lead section and the first subheading.

Rule of thumb: If a topic deserves a heading or subheading, then it deserves short mention in the lead.

The lead section should contain up to four paragraphs, depending on the length of the article, and should provide a preview of the main points the article will make, summarizing the primary reasons the subject matter is interesting or notable. The lead should be capable of standing alone as a concise overview of the article, should be written in a clear and accessible style, should be carefully sourced like the rest of the text, and should encourage the reader to want to read more. The following table has some general guidelines for the length of the lead section:

< 15,000 characters medium size > 30,000 characters
one or two paragraphs   two or three paragraphs   three or four paragraphs

With that in mind, I'm sorry if my reply isn't in the right format (which it almost definitely won't be). A tag has been placed on Montreal School of Theology requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from mst-etm.ca/about-us/#brief-history. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Hi CommanderWaterford, thanks for picking this up. I have made the necessary edits so that the sections in question are now original, and are no longer in infringement of copyright. I decided to create a Wikipedia Article for MST over a year ago, before I had joined the Wikipedia community, and so was unaware of the copyright rules when I first wrote the proposed article. When I returned to the document to upload it today I did not realise that, when I had originally written it, I had violated the copyright rules, about which I am now well aware. Telling Secrets (memoir) moved to draftspace

Currently it does not have a single independent source, and zero sourcing to show it meets WP:GNG or WP:NBOOK. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. I moved Secrets in the Dark: a life in sermons to Secrets in the Dark per WP:SUBTITLES: in this case the subtitle is neither most commonly used nor needed for disambiguation purposes. For future reference however, note that book titles (including subtitles) are proper nouns, and so should be in generally be written in title case (see MOS:CAPTITLE and WP:TITLEFORMAT for more background). Lastly, the {{Infobox book}} italicizes the article title by default, so long as the field | italic title= is empty or has a value of "forced". Thus in most cases there is no need to add {{DISPLAYTITLE}} unless the article title requires a complicated mix of italicized and unitalicized text. Cheers, --Animalparty!
