[edit]Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 06:29, 29 May 2010 (UTC)
Welcome
[edit]Welcome!
Hello, Indiaart, and welcome to Wikipedia. You have been leaving long biographies on Wikipedia talk:Picture tutorial, which is a discussion page and not a place to create articles. I have removed them now, though the information is still available in the history in case you want to reuse it. If you think it deserves an article, or if you think it can be added to some existing article, you can do so, provided you find reliable sources.
You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard. Thank you.
There's a page about creating articles you may want to read called Your first article. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on this page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:
- Your first article
- Biographies of living persons
- How to write a great article
- The five pillars of Wikipedia
- Help pages
- Tutorial
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! Shreevatsa (talk) 07:39, 29 May 2010 (UTC)
Please stop
[edit]Even after the message above, you added something to Wikipedia talk:Picture tutorial. I have removed it again. Please remember that Wikipedia is not for self-promotion, and that everything you write must be attributable to reliable sources. Of course, if you have anything useful to add to any article, your contributions are always welcome. Shreevatsa (talk) 08:20, 29 May 2010 (UTC)

[edit]Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to Wikipedia talk:Picture tutorial. While objective prose about products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not intended to be a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Thank you. Shreevatsa (talk) 08:40, 29 May 2010 (UTC)
