Hi, what is the purpose of International school manila band program concert band class? I also have some concerns on the notability of International School Manila Band Program Beginning Band Class. You need to add some reliable secondary sources to show that this subject is notable. My thought is that an article for a particular class at this school is not notable enough for an article, but I am willing to be convinced. See WP:NOTE, WP:RS, and WP:SCHOOL for information on what is considered notable. Cheers Kevin (talk) 11:22, 21 May 2008 (UTC)
Welcome to Wikipedia! I'm glad you want to get involved, but I'm afraid there's a problem with the article you created, International school manila band program beginning band class. It did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Don't feel too badly; lots of people have a little trouble when creating their first article. You might find it useful to read Your First Article for some good advice about starting to create articles on Wikipedia. Two important rules of thumb are: Avoid writing about yourself, your business, your family and friends, or your web page, and avoid writing about anything that hasn't been written about in reliable sources like books, newspapers, and magazines. Anyway, don't be discouraged. I've deleted the article you created, and feel free to ask me if you have any more questions. -FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 17:32, 21 May 2008 (UTC)
Wikipedia is a reference work
[edit]Wikipedia is not a blog, a social networking site, nor a place to create "articles" about classes in a school. The continued creation of unsuitable "articles" such as these will cause this account to be blocked from editing. --Orange Mike | Talk 18:01, 21 May 2008 (UTC)

orange talk and fisher queen has constantly deleted my article.. kevin, what can i do? i already put an introduction stating what it is about.. a reference/guide on what to expect about the said program. also, it came from a notable source. plus, i added the underconstruction bit so it won't get deleted immediately, meaning it's a work in progress.. :( Imcb1925 (talk) 18:28, 21 May 2008 (UTC)
- Create the article here first: User:Imcb1925/Sandbox. Then ask one of them to review it to see what needs to be done to make it meet the notability guidelines. GtstrickyTalk or C 18:35, 21 May 2008 (UTC)
If International School Manila has an internal wiki, this would be the kind of thing you would store on it. However, this kind of material has no place in an international reference work intended for use by a billion or more English-reading users all around the planet. --Orange Mike | Talk 18:57, 21 May 2008 (UTC)
I think that this page now has everything you need to know linked somewhere. If you read the top link about the 5 pillars, and then the links in my first post, you should be able to find out what is and is not considered notable enough for an article. User:Gtstricky's suggestion of a sandbox is a good idea that you should take up. Cheers Kevin (talk) 22:21, 21 May 2008 (UTC)
