A tag has been placed on Adam Smith (awsome 11 year old) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Redfarmer (talk) 11:14, 8 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Adam Smith (future millionare), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent. If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you have any questions about this.

STOP[edit]

Please stop your Vandalism. Else, you will be blocked. Thanks. Shovon (talk) 14:22, 21 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This is the only warning you will receive for your disruptive edits.
If you vandalize Wikipedia again, as you did to User:Jerzy, you will be blocked from editing. Caltas (talk) 17:50, 21 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing in accordance with Wikipedia's blocking policy for repeated abuse of editing privileges. If you believe this block is unjustified you may contest this block by adding the text {{unblock|your reason here}} below.

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing in accordance with Wikipedia's blocking policy for repeated abuse of editing privileges. If you believe this block is unjustified you may contest this block by adding the text {{unblock|your reason here}} below.

The purpose of this formal "extension" of your already indefinite block is to record here the fact of your use, while blocked, of an IP sockpuppet (to repeat essentially the same unsuitable addition to WP). And i suppose, since i appear above in the third person, i should make it clear that i've got no hard feelings about your 4-fold vandalism of my user page: i said to myself, when i went to the IP talk page in response to the IP edit and read the last section, "What, i don't remember seeing all those speedy notices! Oh, that's not my sig; you mean some fool screwed with my user-page again?" (Some editors display a count of the number of vandalizations of their respective user pages, but i doubt i'd find it enough fun to justify the effort, and tentatively IMO it's an unnecessary provocation more than it serves to alert folks in your former mood to what a futile gesture such vand'm is.) You should figure out what WP is really about, and how to treat colleagues collegially, and then ask nicely for another chance. (Oh, yeah, and it wouldn't be a bad thing to learn to spell "awesome", tho you won't have much use for it here.)

Unsuitable Username[edit]

Our usual response to usernames like yours, which on reflection, seems intended to say:

I'm better then you.

is:

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia!

I hope not to seem unfriendly or make you feel unwelcome, but I noticed your username, and I am concerned that it might not meet Wikipedia's username policy. After you look over that policy, could we discuss that concern here?

I'd appreciate learning your own views, for instance your reasons for wanting this particular name, and what alternative username you might accept that avoids raising this concern.

You have several options freely available to you:

Thank you.

IMO the fact that it looks to anyone who fails to treat it as a puzzle like just another tediously unpronounceable username makes it even more offensive -- less civil -- than it could be, bcz it suggests your secretly sneering especially at those you consider unclever for not happening to decode it. If your current block is lifted, i will refer your username to Wikipedia:Usernames for administrator attention, and if i find it listed there by another user, i will block it as unsuitable. For that reason, i suggest you make proposing a new (and BTW short and easily pronounceable) username part of any efforts you undertake for the lifting of your current block.
