Awdalland
[edit]Hi Imbaratore. I did not create the Awdalland article, but the sources I used to expand it were largely taken from the already extant Awdal article. The Sanaag region is disputed between Puntland, Somaliland, and SSC (Sool, Sanaag and Cayn) militants; the Sanaag article, among others states, this too, so I'm not sure what the issue is. The State of Somaliland (not the Somaliland region, which was created in 1991 and only claims to be the heir to the State of Somaliland) also was not recognized by 34 nations. This is a commonly repeated untruth by supporters of Somaliland's secession. Best regards, Middayexpress (talk) 23:20, 8 February 2011 (UTC)

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, talk pages are meant to be a record of a discussion; deleting or editing legitimate comments, as you did at Talk:Somaliland, is considered bad practice, even if you meant well. Even making spelling and grammatical corrections in others' comments is generally frowned upon, as it tends to irritate the users whose comments you are correcting. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Gyrofrog (talk) 23:59, 8 February 2011 (UTC)
