Welcome!
Welcome to Wikipedia, ImGz/Archive01! My name is Ryan, aka Acetic Acid. I noticed that you were new and haven't received any messages yet. I just wanted to see how you were doing. Wikipedia can be a little intimidating at first, since it uses different formatting than other sites that use HTML and CSS. In the long run, though, you'll find that the WikiSyntax is a lot easier and faster than those other ways. Here are a few links to get you started:
- How to edit a page
- Editing, policy, conduct, and structure tutorial
- Picture tutorial
- How to write a great article
There are a lot of policies and guides to read, but I highly recommend reading over those first. If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page. Please be sure to sign your name on Talk Pages using four tildes (~~~~) to produce your name and the current date, along with a link to your user page. This way, others know when you left a message and how to find you. It's easier than having to type out your name, right? :)
I hope you enjoy contributing to Wikipedia. We can use all the help we can get! Have a nice day. Sincerely, Acetic Acid 00:31, August 17, 2005 (UTC)

NPC Sororities
Hey, saw your entry on the Wikipedia:WikiProject_Fraternities_and_Sororities talk page. I'm trying to revive the project. I would really like your help in the project by seeing if you can help us creat some standards for article about greek organizations. I think our biggest concern is NPOV. Also, I'm trying to standardize all pages. If you can help out by switching the infoboxes found on sorority pages to Template:Infobox Fraternity, it would create a much more unified look for all of the greek pages. Thanks. Dspserpico 04:17, 23 April 2006 (UTC)
- Go to bed, you're probably Eastern Time Zone where it's obscenely late, I'm in California where it's not even midnight. I'd like general switch from the HTML boxes already used by the NPC sororites (and a few NIC Fraternities as well) to info boxes for a few reasons. First, it looks more professional and encyclopediodic (sp? forgive me, I'm a musician), infoboxes look like an encyclopedia entry while HTML boxes look like something from some guy's blog. Secondly, most of the other pictures in the boxes (pledge pin, member badge, flower) should be put in a "symbols" section in the article, not in in infobox. In infobox should be a brief summary nothing more. Also, infoboxes are easier to edit than HTML boxes, just in case if we get some info wrong, it will be much easier to edit.
- I know many of the sorority articls are done and seems good, but some articles may be copyvio. I just recently blanked significant portions of a fraternity article due to copyvio. Wikipedia is not a rush brochure and when a fraternity article sounds like one, it's usually copyvio. Anyways, please consider to join the wikiproject, I think your input will be valuable. Dspserpico 06:27, 23 April 2006 (UTC)
- When I blank things, I usually blank them with the intention of rewriting it. I don't want somebody to place the copvio tag on the article while I'm actively (or inactively editing something). Anyways, let's move our debat about NPC templates to the wikiproject talk page. Dspserpico 14:58, 23 April 2006 (UTC)
Grrr re: anon deletions on Kerrville page.
There's another again. So annoying. I wish they were easier to police...but thanks for watching over the page! Ckamaeleon ((T)) 07:32, 3 May 2006 (UTC)

Thank you for the barnstar!
I really appreciate it! Please be sure to let us know on the discussion and peer review pages ways that we can make the article better! I think that I have someone tracking down an x-ray for me, but let me know if you have any leads on one... InvictaHOG 05:00, 14 May 2006 (UTC)

Dear ImGz,
- Thanks for your work on the Kappa Kappa Gamma page. You've done a great editing job. BTW - the name of "Jimmyflathead" - comes from a joke by a friend who said the back of my head must have been flattened by my parents banging me into a wall. I'm neither Jimmy nor flatheaded! Thanks again for all of your work, and best wishes in the future! - jf —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Jimmyflathead (talk • contribs) .
Jarod
For Reference: The entire conversation can be found here. Demara Discussion
Why do you insist? Jarod is not an imposter, he is a genius, a hero and a humanitarian. the person that you are linking was the opposite. Brian W 20:24, 3 June 2006 (UTC).
- Wikipedia has a policy of NPOV, I am not saying that Jarod is not any of these things, but the reference has been drawn between Jarod and Ferdinand Waldo Demara and I don't see any reason to take it out. It doesn't matter that they might not share the same ideals but one can draw a strong conclusion that whoever developed the Pretender series was influenced by Demara's story. Which is why I added the see also section. Taking it out would only bias the article which is not what wikipedia is for. Hope this makes sense
- Your edit is POV. The two authors of the story have never mentioned Damara. The main theme of the series is not "Jarod pretending to be someone else". Jarod was kidnapped, Mr D. not. Jarod fights against evil, D. not. Jarod is firstly trained as a scientist, that eventually becomes capable to apply his knowledge in cognitive science and psychologyin order to emulate several human, social, scientific and technological contexs, in other words he's a sort of emulator. I'll remove your link, unless you are able to put some proper information to justify it... Brian W 21:00, 3 June 2006 (UTC)
- That webpage could have been created just today, it's not a valid refernce, sorry. Anyway I found interesting the story of that Mr D., so, could you find a proper sentence to put near that link? Or maybe a quote among "trivia" that could state something like for a similarly skilled character see D.'s story at....a non-fictional man that ued his skills for opposite aims" .. . Wikiproject: Fraternities and Sororities
I'm just shooting you a notice that the wikiproject is gaining momentum and I would really appreciate your input on a variety of issues there. We've had a few discussions and have reached consensus on a few issues. However, the participant are all guys and our discussions have been very NIC Fraternity-centric. I think woman's voice can improve our project. Also, I'd really like your input because you have put a lot of work into the NPC sororities and I don't want the project to unintentially undo anything you have done by reaching a consensus without your input. Let me know if you're cool with this. Dspserpico 19:45, 6 June 2006 (UTC)
What a surprise to find you here...
Hello Candice,
it was quite a surprise to suddenly see you looking at me from my computer screen while studying the eye colour article. I'm glad to see that you are so dutifully contributing to Wikipedia and happy to see your face again after such long time! I hope you like Philadelphia. All the best,
Florian

Nancy Grace
I do not understand why you continue to remove Nancy Grace from the Alpha Delta Pi alumnae section when you have no access to ADPi's official database (where Nancy Grace is listed). Can you please explain? Sdsuchelle 21:50, 11 July 2006 (UTC)
- Here is her information from the ADPi directory:
- Nancy Grace
- (removed address)
- Atlanta GA, 30318
- Chapter of Initiation: Delta Theta
- Year of Initiation: 10/26/1978
- Delta Theta chapter is located at Valdosta State University, where Nancy went to school with her fiance (who was murdered). This is verifiable by searching Google.
- My guess as to why ADPi doesn't include her is that she may have dropped out of the sorority after her fiance's murder, and doesn't consider ADPi to be a big part of her life. However, she IS an initiate. Sdsuchelle 02:43, 12 July 2006 (UTC)
Thanks!
Hello there, thank you for updating and cleaning up the Iota Nu Delta wiki. I did notice that your newest update says that you did not obtain any permission from the fraternity to post material from the website, and therefore have removed most of the material on there. However, WarMachine202 is actually a member of the fraternity and has received permission from the National Board of the fraternity to post the material on the wiki page, since he is the wikipedia admin of the fraternity. I am not sure what method you used to contact the fraternity, but you can either send an e-mail to (e-mail withheld) or write directly to the fraternity at their mailing address listed on the website. The material posted on the wiki was given explicit permission to be done so. We will be reverting the wiki page back to the last update prior to your's, if you have any further questions, please be sure to write to the aforementioned contact. We appreciate all of your help with cleaning up the site, thank you! —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Deserteagle22 (talk • contribs) 19:39, 18 July 2006 (UTC)
- Please send your confirmation e-mail to board@iotanudelta.org. We have not received either of the two previous e-mails you sent, mainly because both addresses happen to be member-only listserves. Deserteagle22 23:08, 18 July 2006 (UTC)

Re: Drexel alumni
Hi. I wish I had some great pearls of wisdom for you, but I'm afraid all I can share is a little advice: sometimes you need a bit of a thick skin to participate effectively here. Don't allow yourself to be bullied around, and don't let dogmatic contributors chase you away from subjects in which you're interested. That said, the Drexel alumni list wasn't moved back to its original name. It was moved to Drexel University alumni, which is an improvement, but still not the most appropriate name. Since the list only includes alumni right now, I'm going to move it to List of Drexel University alumni. If you decide to add faculty members, then you should move it back to List of Drexel University people. I'll leave a note on the article's talk page. Hope that works for you. Let me know if you continue to have problems, and I'll see what we can do. - EurekaLott 06:37, 13 August 2006 (UTC)
Block?
yes, I did change the Kerrville Independent School District ratings, based on the 05 rating system (I hadn't seen the 06) and was just about admit my mistake and change it back, and I fully acknowledge being wrong, but that doesn't require a block! The reason states I've been blocked due to a bad user name/IP, I've been editing for nearly a year now, and have not vandalized once, I think a block is overzealous.
- Your block log doesn't show you ever being blocked, the block message likely said something about autoblocked, you can read details about autoblocks by following that link. If you get hit by such a block we need to know the full details of the block message otherwise we are also none the wiser as to your block and can do nothing about it. --pgk(talk) 14:44, 19 August 2006 (UTC)
