Ilylo, I hope you'll understand why I removed your recent additions to the Christian Conventions article. Please only add information that other are able to verify (as per WP:VERIFY) for new additions. This article already is fully of unverifiable statements but we need to stop adding unverifiable information at some point. Also, you marked your edits as minor. Please don't do this unless youre absolutely sure no one will dispute your edits (ie. correcting spelling, adding a space, etc). Cheers! — Donama 01:17, 19 May 2006 (UTC)

Donama, I don't know you or why you think you own the Christian Convention page. I operate the TLT site from which you claim the citation for the numbers, however, you failed to note that the "25-30" was in 1999 alone. That is not the total number of excommunications, as was originally written. So thank you for the chastisement, but please note that I did not put any inaccurate information there.

Those recent edits look fine, Ilylo. I'm not trying to be a pain, just trying to stop that article becoming biased either way, like the 'veterans' websites. Wikipedia has a clear policy about including only verifiable information and citing sources (you can read them at WP:NPOV, WP:NOR, WP:VERIFY and WP:CITE). Basically what these 4 pages say is that even if something is a fact, it can't be included in Wikipedia unless other people are able to check that that something is true, and secondly that no original research is allowed.

Strictly speaking, the TLT website is probably considered "original research" which means if I was going to be a real pain in the arse I'd insist we don't quote from it at all (as per WP:NOR). But there are so few published resources about 2x2 that this kind of approach would make the article impossible to write. So I'm happy to cite content on your TLT site to illustrate a point, but we have to do it professionally, and no reinterpret the content -- even if it was you who originally authored it.

That's the only way to make sure the information is truly reputable and trustworthy. I also think it's great for this particular topic to stick to the rules because it ensures it's neutral -- probably something rare for the topic of 2x2. Let's try make this an article that anyone can read and feel 100% confident that the information is reliable.

Also, I don't feel any kind of personal "ownership" over the Christian Conventions page. I simply happen to be the only one who regularly watches it by the looks. I would love it if more people were watching the article to make sure it stays neutral. Cheers — Donama 01:52, 2 June 2006 (UTC)
