Dehar power plant

Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB) is engaged in regulation of the supply of water and power from Bhakra Nangal and Beas Projects to the states of Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Himachal Pardesh, Delhi and Chandigarh. There are five main generating stations of BBMB Bhakhra,Ganguwal, Kotla,Pong and Dehar. Dehar power plant one of them largest power generation plant in India is stabilized in 1977 with four unit vertical shaft Francis turbine, but later add two more unit result today total six unit working.It situated on the bank of river Sutlujof the Slapper bridge in the Himachal predesh district mandi .
