Welcome

[edit]

Hello Iiipianolover and welcome to Wikipedia! We appreciate encyclopedic contributions, but some of your contributions do not conform to our policies. For more information on this, see Wikipedia's policies on vandalism and limits on acceptable additions. If you'd like to experiment with the wiki's syntax, please do so in the sandbox (but beware that the contents of the sandbox are deleted frequently) rather than in articles.

If you still have questions, there is a Help desk, or you can click here to ask for help on your talk page, and a volunteer should respond shortly. You may also find the following pages useful for a general introduction to Wikipedia.

I hope you enjoy editing and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Feel free to write a note on the bottom of my talk page if you want to get in touch with me. Again, welcome! VVikingTalkEdits 14:49, 3 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I have updated the Artist resume based on official website. Why you keep delete the original Artist teacher? And add something not true. Iiipianolover (talk) 14:52, 3 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Edit Warring

[edit]

Information icon Hi Iiipianolover! I noticed that you have reverted to restore your preferred version of an article several times. The impulse to undo an edit you disagree with is understandable, but I wanted to make sure you're aware that the edit warring policy disallows repeated reversions even if they are justifiable.

All editors are expected to discuss content disputes on article talk pages to try to reach consensus. If you are unable to agree, please use one of the dispute resolution options to seek input from others. Using this approach instead of reverting can help you avoid getting drawn into an edit war. Thank you. VVikingTalkEdits 15:19, 3 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Instead of blocking you, I have protected the article. Use the talk page Talk:Ryan Wang to discuss your concerns with the inclusion of the information added by others. —Kusma (talk) 16:55, 3 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hello I am a big fan of the artist Ryan Wang. His biography shows everywhere with his current teachers.however, there is another person try to delete his current teacher. I am try to put the accurate information to the public. Thank you. Iiipianolover (talk) 17:04, 3 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The other person removes a current teacher, you remove a past teacher. Neither of you has explained why you remove this information. Try to discuss on the talk page and find consensus. If you continue to just revert, you will be blocked from editing. —Kusma (talk) 17:53, 3 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for your reply and I don’t quite get you. I am not sure about the artist previous teachers because it’s not shown in his resume on official website. Is it ok for you to add the artist current piano teacher Dr. Sunsung Kong? Many thanks! Iiipianolover (talk) 17:58, 3 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You can make an edit request on the talk page. Ideally you should have an independent secondary source, not the Steinway profile. The other editor has provided an independent source, which is preferable. —Kusma (talk) 18:02, 3 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Will this source ok? https://www.globenewswire.com/news-release/2024/05/21/2886082/0/en/The-Glenn-Gould-Foundation-Presents-Ryan-Wang-s-Hometown-Performance-as-a-Tribute-to-a-Rising-Musical-Star-and-Model-of-Community-Engagement.html Iiipianolover (talk) 18:11, 3 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Somehow I couldn’t make change request. Please check out the source I sent to you. Thank you Iiipianolover (talk) 18:17, 3 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

If you can't use the edit request form, just make a normal edit on the talk page to discuss your suggestions. —Kusma (talk) 19:44, 3 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I believe the other person delete the artist’s current teacher is wrong, a bad choice. Iiipianolover (talk) 18:00, 3 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You could check the website here: https://www.steinway.com/artists/ryan-wang Iiipianolover (talk) 17:10, 3 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hello? Iiipianolover (talk) 17:18, 3 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, I had to cut some content from the Ryan Wang article (replacing it with an older version) because it was cut and pasted from the sources, violating their copyright. Some of the content was sourced to a French website and was a direct translation, violating copyright again (see WP:TRANSVIO). I haven't checked whether you were involved in adding the offending content, but wanted to let you know. —Kusma (talk) 12:23, 9 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I am Ryan Wang’s parent, made updates of Ryan’s bio. Thank you Iiipianolover (talk) 12:37, 9 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your reply. I won’t edit anything for now. However, the Wikipedia is not updating Ryan’s recent biography and people will not be happy about the artist old profile. Would you be able to update Ryan’s biography? Thank you Iiipianolover (talk) 12:50, 9 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
