Dili map, SVG

[edit]

Brilliant work on Image:Timor oriental dili.svg. :) Did you do all of it in Inkscape, or did you use Illustrator or something else as well? Did it take you a lot of time to do it, or do you have a lot of experience converting such maps to SVG? --Interiot 17:13, 14 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Chabacano,

Would you be able to reupload the image? It is not copyrighted. It was made over 50 years ago by an australian government employee and is tagged correctly which were the two criticisms.

thanx

Finnish civil war maps

[edit]

Very nice work, I inserted them to the article Finnish Civil War and it looks great. Good thing we got to replace those bad jpegs before the article goes on front page (26th March). Thanks! --Pudeo (Talk) 16:03, 24 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

SVG + Fair Use

[edit]

Hola, Drini. ¿Es correcto tener SVGs bajo Fair Use? Lo digo por lo de "It is believed that the use of low-resolution images of logos". Ésta es la imagen: Image:Logo Real Madrid.svg. Salud Chabacano 05:53, 6 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

NO. El formato SVG es inherentemente alta resolución. -- drini [meta:] [commons:] 20:10, 7 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Tas caliente?

[edit]

Animation of the battle of Bagrades River

[edit]

Your animation contains some errors. The movement of troops doesn't make sense and please check the sources whether they really state that the elephants were on the outer flanks and NOT the cavalry, while the elephants would usually be marching in front of the irregular/light infantry. All in all a good try and it is possible to make it a great battle depiction. Wandalstouring 08:56, 15 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

On this map, Scone is in the wrong location, on the river Forth rather than ... as it should be ... on the Tay. I take full responsibility for this mistake. It wasn't made through ignorance, but carelessness, and I apologise. Could you fix it, per chance?Deacon of Pndapetzim (Talk) 15:27, 2 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Just about. Thank you very much!. Regards, Deacon of Pndapetzim (Talk) 15:52, 2 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The image is incorrect! The flags held by the Unicorn Supporters should be the Banner of the Royal Arms, namely the 'Lion Rampant' flag, and the Flag of Scotland. See the http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/King_of_Scots page for confirmation. Also, the Crown of Scotland does not have pearls on the arches like the Imperial (British) Crown, but Oak Leaves which are stylised as leaves on the Arms. Can you please re-design and re-submit.

Rab-k 22:43, 8 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Excellent work Chabacano regarding the alterations you have made. The Arms now appear to be correct in every detail. The award you have received is well deserved. Muchas gracias! Rab-k 08:43, 9 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Coat of Arms

[edit]

Sorry, I was wrong to question you. It looked too good to be true, and I jumped to the wrong conclusion. Please accept my sincere apology; your drawing is really skillfully done. Jeff Dahl (Talkcontribs) 05:03, 19 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Case Closed

[edit]

Hi Chavacano, i noticed you left a short note under the discussion thread i made on mediation cabal.

I just wanted to remark the [1] preceding case was requested to be closed, and i suggest such topic be dismissed. Just in case, as i want it (the case) do not be open again. Cheers,p.d. it seems, the best way to solve a dispute it is within its borders first (it was my mistake to didn't try on es:) If you want to contact me, feel free to post a reply on my talk page, cheers. Re: Chuggle

[edit]

Hi, I am writing a clone of Huggle in python (pyKDE in fact) for using it on linux. At the moment only the buttons of revert, whitelist and next-diff work, and there are a lot of things to fix/improve, but I just wanted to let you know :). The project is hosted in http://code.google.com/p/chuggle/ .Chabacano (talk) 19:43, 20 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Two things regarding licensing:
  • The contents of Huggle's /icons folder, which you have copied into your project, are not my original work; they are either from the Nuvola icon set or derivative works of such, and are available only under the LGPL; I have no control over this. Since your project currently asserts that the whole lot is MIT-licensed, you should probably clarify this. Huggle does so with the help of this page.
  • You should probably state somewhere in your license or readme files that it is based on Huggle. As Huggle's source code is public domain, I cannot legally force you to do so, but I can ask nicely.
Thanks --Gurch (talk) 03:45, 21 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hola! Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately I do not have 'Inkscape', or similar software, in order to create an .svg image file of your Kingdom of Scotland Royal Arms, with the motto removed. (All I can produce is an inferior .png image). If you have 10 minutes, would you be able/willing to alter your original to preserve an .svg image of the arms with the Nemo me impune lacessit motto removed?

Many thanks.

Endrick Shellycoat 17:13, 19 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hola. Thanks for your reply - it will be better to keep it a SVG. Endrick Shellycoat 08:14, 20 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Altered speedy deletion rationale: Talk:Olfactory system

[edit]

Hello Ignacio Icke. I am just letting you know that I deleted Talk:Olfactory system, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, under a different criterion from the one you provided, which doesn't fit the page in question. Thank you. (talk→ BWilkins ←track) 17:52, 9 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

File:Guerra Fria 1980.svg

[edit]

Hi- Your map - File:Guerra Fria 1980.svg is incorrect. It shows Ireland as being an ally of the USA. This is incorrect. Ireland is/was a non-aligned neutral country. Please change. Thanks.Limericksham (talk) 10:37, 8 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Somalia was a communist state between 1969 and 1991. And after 1997 it was no longer a pro-Sovjet state but pro-Chinese and an ally of the USA too. I had put this in your commons talk page, I've added here just in case you didn't noticed it. Regards. Runehelmet (talk) 16:26, 15 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
