Information icon Hello, I'm JeffSpaceman. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person on Vontae Davis, but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now. Wikipedia has a very strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate and clear. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! JeffSpaceman (talk) 17:07, 3 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The links you are adding to the article mentioned above and various others to https://www.ktnbio.com.ng/ are not appropriate. This is not a reliable source by Wikipedia standards (let alone the even higher standard we expect for biographies of living people - see Wikipedia:External_links#In_biographies_of_living_persons). And we don't generally use inline external links for this sort of thing anyway. Furthermore, your user page implies that you may the owner of this site, which makes this look like spammy self-promotion. In conclusion: please stop adding any links to this site, and I have removed the ones you added that weren't already gone. -Elmer Clark (talk) 15:42, 6 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Am sorry about the links and they are not self owned or directly self promoting in any ways possible, but am fully aware now and will avoid doing it...i only felt the information there corresponded with most search online Ifeanyichukwu Chris Akashili (talk) 15:47, 6 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Understood, and no apologies are necessary! Please don't feel discouraged from continuing to contribute to Wikipedia in other ways. I recommend reading the page I linked you above about reliable sources - corresponding to the most searches online isn't enough for Wikipedia. Help:Editing has some other useful info, and you can always post questions at the Wikipedia Teahouse if you're ever unsure about anything. -Elmer Clark (talk) 15:55, 6 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Understood... Thanks for the helpful tips, I will go through and put them into work going forward Ifeanyichukwu Chris Akashili (talk) 16:05, 6 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
