Redirects from different capitalisation

[edit]

I noticed you are creating a lot of redirects for "case sensitivity". For many articles, this makes sense. E.g. the word "university" in Marshall university might conceivably be spelled with a lowercase "u" and it would be a red link if not for the redirect page.

However, personal names (such as Al Franken) are always spelled with that exact capitalisation. For the "Go" function of the Wikimedia search, such redirects from different capitalisation are not necessary. Please see Wikipedia:Naming conventions (capitalization)#Software characteristics. 78.34.218.38 (talk) 14:13, 31 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Unification Day (Firefly)

[edit]

The article Unification Day (Firefly) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Zero sources, something which appears to only be mentioned a couple of times in the Firefly universe. Better as a redirect to Firefly (series).

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
