Additons to The Solutions page

[edit]

Hi Idcaun, I have done some work on this band's page you created. It had been tagged in July with the "Notability" tag and I wanted to help. Please feel free to add more information from the citations I have added. Notablity is looking for articles solely about the band....so I think we are good now, with the ones I have added. I replaced the Allkpop and KpopStarz ones per Wikipedia:WikiProject Korea/Reliable sources which was created a few years ago by WikiProject Korea editors. I personally think KpopStarz does a good job...but it is on the list as unreliable. I made some other changes per Wikipedia rules (capital letters for band name, members section, only one external link, etc.).

You did a good job searching for citations in English and Korean. Sometimes I find better results by going to the newspapers web pages and search there (after I can find very little with a Google search, which happened with the band's name).

  • Yonhap [1]
  • The Korea Times [2]
  • The Korea Herald [3]
  • Korea Joongang Daily [4]
  • The Chosun Ilbo [5]
  • The Dong-a Ilbo [6]
  • Kpop Herald (The Korea Herald) [7], etc.

Please let me know if any of the changes were wrong. I was surprised and happy to see the page for the band...just wish I could have gotten a better photo for Wikimedia Commons.--Bonnielou2013 (talk) 15:13, 31 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Also, it looks like Park Sol is going solo again with a new name Enob, and a recent release, but I didn't add any of that, you may if you want. You can see in this article [8] (already added citation to page) and there were more Korean articles on it.--Bonnielou2013 (talk) 15:25, 31 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Bonnielou2013: Thanks so much for everything you added! I didn't expect someone to contribute so much and so fast so I'm glad your invested in their article! I do agree it's hard finding real sources or related articles with a band name like this haha. Thanks, I'm not too active on wikipedia so I'll update it more sporadically but I'll definitely check out those sources and look around for some info.
I dont think we need to add in Sols solo, and I would wait to put in the name change or maybe just add it as a note to him in the member section. I checked other groups/bands for reference and most don't mention when a member starts a new solo album thats usually just on their own individual wiki page so I think it's fine to leave it off -Idcaun (talk) 21:27, 3 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
