[edit]Hello, I'm TechnoSquirrel69. I noticed that you recently removed content from The Boy and the Heron without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. —TechnoSquirrel69 (sigh) 05:00, 19 April 2024 (UTC)
Wikipedia and copyright
[edit]Hello Iamamodforjellymario! Your additions to Qu'est-ce qu'on attend pour être heureux! have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, it's important to understand and adhere to guidelines about using information from sources to prevent copyright and plagiarism issues. Here are the key points:
- Limited quotation: You may only copy or translate a small portion of a source. Any direct quotations must be enclosed in double quotation marks (") and properly cited using an inline citation. More information is available on the non-free content page. To learn how to cite a source, see Help:Referencing for beginners.
- Paraphrasing: Beyond limited quotations, you are required to put all information in your own words. Following the source's wording too closely can lead to copyright issues and is not permitted; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when paraphrasing, you must still cite your sources as appropriate.
- Image use guidelines: In most scenarios, only freely licensed or public domain images may be used and these should be uploaded to our sister project, Wikimedia Commons. In some scenarios, non-freely copyrighted content can be used if they meet all ten of our non-free content criteria; Wikipedia:Plain and simple non-free content guide may help with determining a file's elegibility.
- Copyrighted material donation: If you hold the copyright to the content you want to copy, or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license the text for publication here. Please see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
- Copying and translation within Wikipedia: Wikipedia articles can be copied or translated, however they must have proper attribution in accordance with Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. For translation, see Help:Translation § License requirements.
It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices. Persistent failure to comply may result in being blocked from editing. If you have any questions or need further clarification, please ask them here on this page, or leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. DanCherek (talk) 03:40, 20 April 2024 (UTC)
Godzilla Minus One
[edit]Hi Iamamodforjellymario! I noticed that you have reverted to restore your preferred version of Godzilla Minus One several times. The impulse to undo an edit you disagree with is understandable, but I wanted to make sure you're aware that the edit warring policy disallows repeated reversions even if they are justifiable.
All editors are expected to discuss content disputes on article talk pages to try to reach consensus. If you are unable to agree at Talk:Godzilla Minus One, please use one of the dispute resolution options to seek input from others. Using this approach instead of reverting can help you avoid getting drawn into an edit war. Thank you. Walkersam (talk) 09:28, 20 April 2024 (UTC)
Thank you for your interest in improving wikipedia. Please dont add "teasers" into plot. They are good for advertisement, but useless for encyclopedia. - Altenmann >talk 01:57, 23 April 2024 (UTC)
- Teasers? You mean the angry planet revenge bit. Iamamodforjellymario (talk) 02:04, 23 April 2024 (UTC)
- Oops, not a . I meant a ? Iamamodforjellymario (talk) 02:04, 23 April 2024 (UTC)
- Yep, the "angry planet" piece delivers no information. - Altenmann >talk 02:12, 23 April 2024 (UTC)
- Yea, they are different links. Iamamodforjellymario (talk) 02:41, 23 April 2024 (UTC)
Please do not cut and paste pieces from other websites into Wikipedia. This is a copyright violation and against the law. - Altenmann >talk 02:13, 23 April 2024 (UTC)
- How do you know if something is copyrighted? Iamamodforjellymario (talk) 02:36, 23 April 2024 (UTC)
- Just do not cut and paste and provide references to the sources of your wisdom. - Altenmann >talk 02:07, 9 May 2024 (UTC)
In such pages we only add people who have Wikipedia articles. - Altenmann >talk 16:50, 17 May 2024 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. While we appreciate that you enjoy using Wikipedia, please note that Wikipedia is an encyclopedia and not a social network. Wikipedia is not a place to socialize or write things that are not directly related to improving the encyclopedia. Off-topic material may be deleted at any time. We're sorry if this message has discouraged you from editing here, but the ultimate goal of this website is to build an encyclopedia. Thank you. Izno (talk) 17:18, 17 May 2024 (UTC)

Your edit on Big Coal
[edit]If someone reverts one of your edits, please do not just revert it back to your preferred version. This is edit warring and doing this can get you blocked from editing. See WP:BRD for the correct way to handle it. Walkersam already warned you about this on 20 April above.
Regarding the change you made, "novel" is not a synonym for "book". A novel is a fictional work, and the book Big Coal is not fictional. You can check any dictionary to confirm this. Please fix your edit yourself this time if you don't want me to do it. Thank you. CodeTalker (talk) 06:32, 10 June 2024 (UTC)
